I've heard a lot of people say to brush your teeth with baking soda and hydrogen peroxide to whiten teeth.

If you do do that daily, do you still have to brush your teeth with regular paste too? And which one should you do first? The baking soda & hydro peroxide or toothpaste?

Toothpase is necessary as it also has fluoride in it. The purpose of toothpaste is to not whiten teeth, but to clean them and help prevent tooth decay.
As a warning....you do not want to use baking soda all the time nor a paste with baking soda in it all the time. Baking soda is an abrasive and excess use can wear your teeth down and cause damage. If you are going to use a baking soda/ peroxide mix I would suggest only doing that once maybe twice a week. The toothpastes that have baking soda in them...about every other day and a regular toothpaste on the other days. I would also be very weary of using a peroxide in your mouth, even diluted. This can become an irritant and if you are sensitive to it could possibly also cauuse chemical burns on your gum tissues. If you are wanting to use baking soda, I would suggest using just regular water to make it into a paste.
As far as the order of toothpaste or baking soda...you may want to use the regular paste last because in your final rinse you can spit away any remaining soda in their.
If it is whitening you are wanting...I would suggest using something like Crest WhiteStrips...they do work and they will not harm your teeth. Just another suggestion.

Toothpaste has floride in it so you have to continue to use it every day. You can do the baking soda & peroxide thing once or twice a week. You don't need to do it everyday. Get a water pik, fill it w/water and = amounts of peroxide and mouthwash.
It will work wonders for any gum issues you may have.

I was told by a dental hygienist NOT to use Hydrogen peroxide it will irritate your mouth. Baking soda just tastes yucky, I stick to toothpaste. Try a SPin brush, they do a great job!

Try a toothpaste that includes baking soda. Then you'll have cavity protection as well as the whitening.

No you dont have to use all of them.
Use a combination of salt and baking soda, rinse with water then rinse with peroxide if you can stand it. (you'll foam like a rabid dog and it tastes bad)
