No pain at all getting mine off at all .....I wore them just over 2 years the first time then about 4 months the 2nd time......then they will clean your teeth and you'll LOVE your smile believe me.....so I would say for your pain scale -1 unless you are one of those that can't stand pressure feeling even...hey, its less than when they would tighten the wires you had....SMILE

Ok, take it from a long time braces wearer: Almost no pain!! Do not be neurvous. At least for me, they took a plier type device and gently removed the braces from each tooth, this was done by gently twisting the brace, it may sound brutal, but its not, they come off very easy when twisted the right way (if you have ever had a bracket fall off, you should know). Say if you took some Elmers paper glue and glued a bracket to a wall, if when it dried you twisted it, it is about that same consistancy to get your bracket off, it doesnt take much. As for your 1-5, i would say that it would be a 1 if that. It is really the easiest procedure you will have. Be excited! you will remember this day forever!!

Depends on your orthodontist, really. I couldn't see what was going on and I really didn't want to know, based on the sounds I heard. They start by taking off the bands and then the wires. Then there's this little saw they use to get under the brackets.
After that, I got a cleaning. And trust me, if you had braces, you're going to need it. In fact, when you go home, brush your teeth again.
There's not much pain, if any involved. Your lips might get chapped because your mouth will be held open for a while.
On your pain scale, it's rare to have more than a 1.

I had my braces for 5 years...ugh! I remember the day I got them off, I was super excited. The dentist cleaned them and if you have taken good care of your teeth the past 2.5 years, you shouldn't have any stains. It is a little uncomfortable when they scrap the old glue off but it doesn't hurt. Your teeth will feel a little weird for awhile...after all you've had metal on your teeth for 2 years. Congrats and enjoy the life of no braces!!

Its not that bad, really. I dont remember it hurting at all, but I just remember hearing some noise, like a popping sound. They pop them off of your teeth, but they do this all of the time so there is really nothing to worry about. I dont recall any pain at all, so I would say 1 for pain if any... Just go and relax and be glad to be rid of the braces!

Don't be nervous. You should be excited, you've waited a long time for this. The procedure should take about 45 minutes or so, and it is not going to be painful at all. You might feel a little bit of discomfort, but if you survived having them put on and wearing them, this will be a piece of cake. Enjoy your new smile.

they pull up the ring on the back molars, then they take a tool and on each bracket, they squeeze on the top and bottom and they pop off, the pain is a 1 or a 2, it hurts a little bit, you should expect to be rubbing your tongue over your teeth a lot, congradualtions

i went to a dentist once to get my braces off after wearing them for 5 months and the pain was like a 7 because the brace one of the teeth jabbed my gum and it hurt so bad but hey it might not hurt you it depends on how well you know the dentist and how experinced he is about this sort of thing.

they take them off with a tool that just rips them right off your teeth.
you shouldn't expect anything, you just sit there with your mouth open for a while, the only part that hurts is when they scrape the cement off your teeth...unless one gets stuck...
dont be nervous...after you get them off they stick that disgusting mold on your teeth so that your retainer will fit.
the pain level is.........only like 2
good luck and make sure to smile after...even if its like 50 times cus ppl keep askin you lol :)
