He's mad because today I found out my best friend of 10 years died. I have been upset and he's mad because I'm going to the funeral. He's telling my kids I do drugs and that I'm a liar, this is my house and no one will do anything.

First, ignore the smart*** remarks left by a few people who are idiots. You need to go to the police and press charges against your boyfriend..
As for your tooth, no way to know without seeing it and being a dentist. A dentist might be able to rebuild it with white composite filling material if it's the tooth that's broken. You can't "break the gum," but the tooth is not the main problem here.
Just read your added notes. If your boyfriend is still in the house, leave and go to the police station. If he's not there, lock the doors and windows and call someone to come stay with you and wait for the police.
I've read all your updates again. You need to get out of there. Why are you still there? If you don't have anywhere else to go, go to a women's shelter until you find another place to live. You said you've been trying to get rid of him. Stop making excuses and do it or you're never going to have a decent life.

Ok well domestic violence isn't right. Any kind of physical hit in anger or frustration is not justified as being o.k. You really need to leave this guy because it's only going to get worse. Call the cops, charge his ***! It's men like him that odn't deserve to even be free in society. He needs help and don't let him make you think that is you that needs fixing, because guys who abuse are also very good at manipulating. There's no trust there and he hurt you, even though you fought back, you were defending yourself. Let him go, charge him and go on without him. He's not going to do you any good by hitting you.

sounds like an action packed saturday night. when it comes to your teeth the sooner you get it taken care of the better the chances of it being saved.
how long has it been bleeding? i can't picture what is wrong with your tooth really...is the tooth loose?
gargle with salt water and apply pressure is what i would do. maybe drink some cold water or apply an ice pack. i don't know if they are what a dentist would suggest though.
call your dentist and ask him!
and please get out of your relationship now. the longer you wait the harder it is to go. if you are physically fighting then it isn't a healthy relationship. just because you love someone doesn't mean that you are meant to be together.
take care of yourself, you deserve better! SD

First thing to do is go to the police and report this as this is domestic abuse and should not be tolerated. After you get to the police station they will assist you in getting to the hospital to get checked out. Only your dentist can tell you about the tooth. DO NOT GO back to your house or apartment after you get treated at the hospital if your boyfriend is still there and most importantly he is not a boyFRIEND if her get physical with you. Hitting a woman is NEVER EVER acceptable.

I'm a dentist.
Glad to see that the police aren't too busy eating donuts at Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme and sitting like a bunch of goddamned bumbs on the side of the road catching speeders to deal with serious problems faced by society.
See the doctor on Monday. He'll evaluate the teeth and let you know what needs to be done.

tomorrow, go to the dentist. go to the ER now if you are in a lot of pain. i don't quite understand how part of your gum "broke" off? did the gum rip? is the tooth broken? your molar is in the way back of the mouth. i don't mean to sound rude, but maybe it's the way you phrased the question. i would go to the ER tonite, just in case. good riddance to the a** hole! find someone who cares about you.

NISI,
DOMESTIC ABUSE IN WHATEVER FORM FROM ANYONE TOWARDS ANYONE IS NOT O.K. NEVER, EVER!
THE IMPORTANT THING TO DO IS TO AVOID THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. GO TO THE POLICE AND HAVE A RESTRAINING ORDER PLACED AGAINST HIM.
WAS THIS IN YOUR HOUSE OR HIS.
IF HIS, THEN NEVER COME BACK. IF YOURS CHANGE THE LOCKS AND TELL YOUR PARENTS--IF A MINOR.
THE FIRST THING TO DO IS MAKE SURE YOU'RE SAFE.
THE LIP THAT'S BLEEDING MIGHT NEED A STITCH OR 2. VISIT THE E.R. FOR THIS.
THE OTHER STEP IS TO SEE A DENTIST FOR PROPER CARE.
