It just seems much more messy this way. I wonder why this is the universal color.

Not all children's toothpastes are blue, however, there is a new paste out that turns blue until you have finished brushing properly. When all the blue is gone, then you have competed a good job of brushing teeth, plus, the kid's think it's alot of fun watching the blue go away.

There is a very good reason that most tooth past is blue for children.

Blue is the color that your eyes actually see first. That is why at the airport the landing lights are blue.

The second thing that appeals to children is the taste.

not all children's toothpaste is blue. my girls have used several brands that are pink and sparkled

i think it's mostly so it will be appealing to the child and make them want to use it more.

DEAR CAMERONSC, MY BROTHER IS A DENTIST,AND I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT ITS THE FLORIDE THAT GIVES THE TOOTHPASTE THAT BLUE COLOR,IF YOUR CHILDREN ARE YOUNGER THAN 6,BE CAREFUL THAT THEY DONT SWALLOW ANY OF THAT TOOTHPASTE AS I CAN GET THEM SICK. JAN

there are many different color toothpaste. i think they make it like that becasue children are attracted to different colors.

I imagine to appeal to children so they will use it.
