I have yellow teeth. Gross. I hate it. I feel so insecure about it. I brush my teeth though twice a day with aquafresh extreme clean with whitening i have no idea why they stay yellow. I eat healthy, dont smoke, dont drink coffee. I want to get my teeth whiter, but how? I CANT USE CREST WHITESTRIPS BECAUSE I NEED TO WEAR RETAINERS AT NIGHT. Any other suggestions that WORK? I really want some pearly whites and get my life back on track.

Mine are coming in and I am just wondering what reason people get them pulled for. One of them is causing pain b/c it's sharp and is cutting into my gums on the side.

Some of you might know that I've posted a few questions about wisdom teeth. I had my operation today and it was fine. The only thing is what are some tips so I dont get a dry socket. So far Ive only eaten some jello and a milkshake with a spoon. It also feels like there is something loose in the back of my mouth... is this just my tooth because the doc also had to move the teeth in front of the wisdom teeth straight and up

I am in the process of getting venners on my top teeth. The dentist said he would have to take a THIN layer off of my real teeth to put the venners on. In the middle of the grinding, I went to the restroom and looked in the mirror and my real teeth looked like the guy from the Goonies. They came to a point and there were large gaps between them. My teeth were pretty regular before. Is this normal?

I have been given an awesome oportunity. A benefactor has been flippin the bill for my dental work. I am about to have braces removed. It is now time to have crowns put on. My teeth are all different shapes and sizes. Today, I had a consultation with my dentist about crowns. Right now he only plans on putting crowns on 6 upper teeth and a few crowns on the bottom teeth.
I admit ignorance, but I am concerned nonetheless. I have told the dentist that money is not the issue. Therfore, shouldn't my dentist be putting crowns on every tooth? He is out of the office until Monday, or I would call and ask him.

Fifteen years ago I had a tooth filled and then some sort of covering put on it, I don't know if it was a cap or crown or what. It was sort of a translucent whitish coating, maybe porcelain? The tooth was the molar next the on that's next to the wisdom tooth, if that helps.
Anyway, a couple weeks ago I notice a rough edge on it with my tongue, and when I looked at it, that coating was gone and there appears to be a small chip on the edge of the tooth. I tried to see my dentist and the soonest I can get in is Jan 2! It doesn't really hurt so I don't know if there's a cavity or not. My question is, how badly can it rot in a month, since the last thing I want is to have to have a root canal, and also, have any of you ever used that temporary filling stuff ou can by at the pharmacy? Would that be a good idea or would it just trap bacteria inside? Any help appreciated!

I'm a big chicken when it comes to any kind of pain and needles... now that we got that clear, I visited my dentist when I was suffering pain around my jaw and ear. I knew my widsom mollar was growing out, but I was afraid that the pain could be related to an infection since i didn't feel any pain when my first two upper mollars grew out. Well to my surprise she wants me to have ALL 4 taken out. YIKES!!!
So my question is... Should I have all 4 removed at once or 2 at a time???? (remember I can't take much pain in my mouth)

On my lower set of teeth, I have one wisdom tooth erupting on the back left side. It is not "in line" with my other teeth and seems to be growing at a slight angle. Part of the tooth seems to be growing into my gum/cheek because the cap is partially covered with gum/skin. I cannot even open my jaw fully, as it starts to hurt. The pain is only on this side. Also, my inner cheek near that tooth is grayish-white, not pink. I do not understand what is going on. I am going to the dentist next week. I just noticed this tooth today as the jaw pain came on suddenly 2 days ago. The pain is very manageable but I dont understand what is going on in there and its hard to open my mouth and inspect it. Any suggestions on what my dentist/oral surgeon will do? Thanks very much.

I finally got Dental coverage this month and I'll be getting dentures before the 1st of the year. I have a gum disease that has caused 75%of my teeth to go bad. I have always practiced good hygiene but the Dentist says that all my teeth have got to go. We discussed implants but they are way out of my price range.

My 1st question is what can I expected from here on out ?

And 2nd I have two gold teeth. When my teeth started to break I didn't have any insurance and could not afford crowns so I got gold instead . What I would like to do is see if the Dentist can remove the gold and put them on the same two teeth on the dentures ? No, I'm not trying to be cool, I just want people to not notice immediately that I have dentures. Call me vain, but I am a young looking 35 yr old female and I really am stressed about this . HELP !
