Yes, I had HORRIBLE headaches for about a year, and I was going to the doctors constantly and none of them could figure out what it was. I started seeing a neurologist and they gave me simple tests and an MRI to see if it was a brain tumor. It wasn't so they gave me all this headache medication which did not work, I couldn't do anything, all I did was sleep because it hurt to have my eyes open. Finally one day I was at the dentist and I asked them if that could be it and he told me, it could definitly be that, so I ended up getting my wisdom teeth out about a month later, and ever since then (5 months ago) I haven't gotten another headache like that!

Although sometimes the cause of the headache can be difficult to identify the vast majority are
due either to migraine or even more
commonly tension headaches. Tension headaches are due to tension in the scalp muscles and are frequently associated with tenderness across the back of the head just above the hairline.
Tension headaches may have clear causes such as visual concentration, noise or worry. Depression may also cause this kind of headache.
Chronic problems with wisdom teeth may cause headaches but one would expect some additional local tenderness over the affected tooth.

Toothache, or the potential for it, is I think the main reason people have them removed since they can push on the rest of your teeth which can cause pain the mess up your alignment.

Having just had a fractured tooth, that alone caused the whole side of my head to hurt at night, even up into the side of my forehead. So tooth problems can definitely give you a headache.

Yes. Absolutely. I had terrible headaches because of my wisdom teeth. Mine actually grew downwards into the jaw bone. They had to chip away the bone to get them out. Having them removed is VERY painful....but if you have the headaches...its definitely worth it!!
