I have a wisdom tooth coming in. Can this cause a sore throat? My throat is sore on the same side as the tooth that's coming in. Also, has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.

Yes, my tooth that's coming in is on the bottom left side. Sorry, I should have been clearer.

Also, can getting a wisdom tooth cause tonsilitis? I've had tonsilitis before but it's been flaring up again ever since my tooth started coming in.

A wisdom tooth that comes in can develop an infection around it called a pericornitis. This can lead to the back of your mouth being very sore, like a sore throat.

You would need to be placed on an antibiotic, but it is probably time to get evaluated for the possible removal of your wisdom teeth.

you did`nt say which wisdom tooth it is, the lower ones can cause ear ache and sore throat too. U need to check if the wisdom tooth is erupting normally.
