I have yellow teeth. Gross. I hate it. I feel so insecure about it. I brush my teeth though twice a day with aquafresh extreme clean with whitening i have no idea why they stay yellow. I eat healthy, dont smoke, dont drink coffee. I want to get my teeth whiter, but how? I CANT USE CREST WHITESTRIPS BECAUSE I NEED TO WEAR RETAINERS AT NIGHT. Any other suggestions that WORK? I really want some pearly whites and get my life back on track.

How To Fix Yellow Teeth

Over the counter stuff won't work for you because it sounds like your teeth are naturally a yellow colour. The only thing you can really do is save up and have a whitening treatment at the dentist. This really does work, and will give you so much confidence. I think the lazer whitening treatment (the best) is around £800. But there's also another bleaching treatment that can be done at home that costs about £300. Got to be worth investigating.

The condition of your teeth is also hereditary, unfortunately, and sometimes it doesn't matter how many over-the-counter and home remedies are used....your teeth will still look dull or stained. In this case, I would urge you to check out professional teeth whitening options. BriteSmile and Zoom are wonderful treatments. In one sitting, you can go from 9-14 shades brighter, just depending on how yellow your teeth are at the moment. BriteSmile can be as little as $400 for the treatment and can last over 2 years, depending on your habits (i.e. if you drink coffee, smoke, etc. which doesn't seem like that would be a factor for you). I hope this helps. I agree it would be great if there was a simple at-home remedy to fix yellow teeth, but sometimes, you just need to leave it to the dentist. You'll probably end up saving yourself money in the long run too. Check out the following link to find a cosmetic dentist near you and to learn about the treatments.

Some people are born with yellow teeth and those are usually very strong and not prone to cavities. You can't change them and don't try. People are obsessed with teeth being white, because the movie stars have them, however they don't realize that most of them had their teeth capped or a crown put over the teeth.
Once you're done with the retainer, your dentist might be able to bleach them. In the meantime buy hydrogen peroxide, the strength for hair bleaching available at the drug store and mix with baking soda into a paste, this recipe comes from a dentist, and you might be able to get them a little whiter.
Just remember those Teeth Whitening Things are a money grabber and big business for the companies.

First of all how old are you? If you are talking about your permanent teeth, then how were your baby teeth? Were they alright?

One reason why you might have yellow teeth ( in my opinion ) is you might have dental flourosis. If you're an adult, then I guess you already got all your teeth. But if you have yet to get some permanent teeth, then I would suggest finding a non-flouridated toothpaste.

I also know a girl, who has yellow teeth. And she says that it was because of a medication, that "her mother" took when she was pregnant with her.

Eat pineapples and strawberries everyday. You'll see a difference. They naturally whiten your teeth.

Or
INGREDIENTS

3-6 ripe strawberries
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 cup water

1. Puree the berries in a blender and pour into a small dish.

2. Using a cosmetic brush or your toothbrush, paint the strawberry paste on your teeth and let sit on teeth for 5 minutes.

3. Mix 1 teaspoon of the baking soda and the cream of tartar into the cup of water. Swish this mixture around in your mouth.

4. Brush your teeth with the teaspoon of plain baking soda.

5. Rinse with cool, clear water.

Stay away from the professional teeth whitening procedures and from the whitening at home kits. They are using extremely toxic chemicals that can cause IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE TO TOOTH ENAMEL and premature tooth decay.

Check out this site: http://www.naturalwhiteteeth.net - It's about how you can whiten your teeth 100% naturally. Same results but 100% safe and 1000 times cheaper.

Did you take alot of meds as a kid? Like antibiotics?
Mine are staineed too, and its because of meds.
A treatment from the dentist is the only way to get it off, because its in so deep. Deeper than strips, which only treat the surface, will do.
My dentist recommended Zoom whitening.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and
are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural
tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries
but certain precautions have to be taken.
