I have an occasional problem in which when I am under pressure or stress I clench my jaw. This occasion it has led to be actually damaging my canine tooth and excrutiating pain from the nerves. My dentist has given me a Gum shield to put on night time. Are there any exercises that I could be doing to help?

I have a calcium deficiency, have no teeth at the back of my mouth, top and bottom, my dentist made me false teeth which i really tried to get used to, the bottom ones fall out if i bend down, and the top ones i cant talk with them in, But most importantly i cant eat with them, everything gets stuck underneath them. I went back and explained all this he told me just to put them in when getting my photo taken. IT IS NOT ABOUT VANITY. i need them to eat as at the moment i have to eat like a rabbit and chew everything at the front of my mouth , as thats where my only teeth are. I am a carer to my son as he is disabled so i am on benifits i dont exspect gold plated, but just ones that work. My own teeth are getting so worn down, its depressing, dont know what my rights are MONEY TALKS EH|!!!!!!

I have mild pain when I chew and when I brush my teeth. It just started today. I don't think it's a cavity because I never had a cavity in my adult teeth, and it effects all my molars when something presses on them.

Someone told me it was caused by eating too much salt. Another person told me if put my fingers in my mouth and they were dirty, then it could be that...

so i was just wondering, cause I tend to get them a lot.

And I do eat a lot of salt...

hmm...

I am 52 years old. I've had open heart surgery and am on blood thinners. Besides the pain, I am afraid the bleeding won't stop. Any advice? Would hypnotherapy help me? Thanks for any advice.

I have red hair and my teeth have always been slightly yellow. Bleaching helps a little but they never seem to whiten as much as they should. I pay attention to teeth and it seems like more readheads have this problem than blondes or brunettes. Is it just my imagination?

My huge silver filling is not in my tooth anymore so I swallowed it since I didn't spit it out. Will it do any damage as it passes through me?

My teeth aren't in horirfic shape because at home I have excellent dental habits. ( I use a sonic toothbrush 3 times a day, floss, rinse, don't eat many sweets, ect.) But I have noticed one little piece of filling has dislodged and I know I should go. In my area there is a dentist offering "sedation dentistry". They semi put you out or in "twilight sleep" and you don't even know anything until everything is done. They can do hrs. of work in one visit instead of coming back for multiple visits(and multiple sleepless nights worring about it!) If anyone has had dentistry this way I'd be so happy to hear about your experience.
