I think some of the answers here hit it correctly. Brushing and flossing are very important, but so is proper diet, avoidance of sugars (expecially dextrans - those with sticky caramels, frequent check-ups and cleanings by a dentist (6-12 months), control of oral habits such as grinding or clenching with use of a nite guard, and using mouthguards for sports. Good luck - and take care of those teeth properly and they WILL last a lifetime.

When it comes to dental hygiene, I think we should take care of our teeth and also the gum. Brushing and flossing helps. Other than that, I guess dental appointment at least once a year if you are truly busy.To keep healthy gums, do gaggle with Listerine or other such product to prevent gum dieases. :)

Since I've had problems myself in the past, I asked this question of many doctors, dentists, etc. and found that a type of water pick called HYDROFLOSS is excellent to keep your gums and teeth healthy. I have one and find it to work very well. It leaves your mouth feeling really clean and you may also add som of your favorite mouthwash in the water, too.

Make sure you get your teeth cleaned and x-rayed once a year. You may think you have no dental problems but x-rays can detect problems at an early stage and in the end could prevent something such as a root canal.

yes, sure.... take right calcium... there are lots of right formulations... but I take as the best one - natural... grind clean shallow of boiled egg into powder, take a bit - at the end of knife, add a few drops of lemon juice, wait a bit until bubbles gone and take it. The compound of calcium with lemon acid is the most helpful. It does not stuck in our kidneys.
