so I got my wisdom tooth pulled out today and decided to keep it. I've got most of the blood washed off except for a tiny bit at the top. Any tips on how to get the blood off? I thought of using Coke-cola cuz that's what they use to clean blood off the streets but then yet, the coke might disintegrate my tooth. haha, i know this is a gross question, blood and all.

my partner has been having pains for a week now. We have been to the dentist and one of the problems is that his top jaw is pushing down unto his bottom jaw which is causing his tooth to ache and his headaches to start. At the moment the dentist has given us a mouthguard to wear but that doesnt do much. Does anyone know what to do?

I was given nitrous before I got my wisdom teeth out. I was nervous about the procedure to begin with, but as soon as they gave me the gas, I felt 20X worse. My heart started beating really fast and my head felt really weird and I hated it! Do some people just not respond well to the gas?

What was your experience and what did it cost you?
How did you feel after surgery; were you in a lot of pain?
How long did it take to heal and did you miss work?
Did you have to wear braces after the surgery?

I was not given a consultation prior to the removal, and the removal itself was less than satisfactory. I felt like I was on an assembly line and the nurses even fought quite nastily about who was to take care of me in the recovery area. I could hear every word they said. I was not happy.. anyway, I've had some complications, nothing major.. Do oral surgeons normally not do a follow up visit? I would think they should since this is a surgery!

I lost my retainer, and was wondering how much it is for a replacement- maybe my parents won't be as mad if it isn't too expensive.

are his teeth going to just fall out after we have this 9,000.00 worth of work on them or will the bone continue to hold them. Because I don't want to have all this done if we are just going to be buying dentures later anyway and I don't know what to do.

My wife began teeth whitening process which she was instructed by a dental assistant to apply solution 1 hour twice a day. This solution contained 21% carbamide. After 4 weeks she noticed that her gums were darkened (nearly black) on the top and bottom. She immediately contacted her dentist. Her dentists had never seen this reaction. Her dentist commented that she was leaving the bleach on much too long, it should have been only 20 minutes twice a day. Furthermore the caps were not cut short enough. The caps should not have been touching her gums. The dentist also reduced her solution to 15% carbamide. Her dentist said to try that to see if the discoloration will go away. She was also charged for this visit as well. Should we seek an attorney and sue for negligence?

I was just at the dentist the other day and the hygientist cleaning my teeth made a comment about the brown line on my tooth. She tried to remove the line by cleaning that area longer, but it didn't remove it.

After I got home, I looked in the mirror and was horrified at what I saw. My back teeth on both sides of my mouth have this weird brown line that follows right about the gumline.

Obviously, it was not a great concern to the hygientist who cleaned my teeth and I doubt the dentist even noticed the lines because they are in the back of my mouth and he just gave a cursory glance at my teeth.

Does anyone know waht this can be? Should I be alarmed? I am worried it will spread to teeth in the front that people can see.

Dentist extracted baby tooth that I still had until I was 30. He pulled the tooth, which took 2 hours of yanking, wrentching and tugging on the tooth and it finally came out. Dentist put on a temporary bridge and I was back 2 days later with an infection in the hole. That cleared up and he put on a permanent bridge. Spot has been painful on and off, also too much pressure on the jaw where tooth was can cause pain. I do floss under the bridge, but not enough. Now my gumline has pulled back from the 2 surrounding teeth and dropped below the fake tooth. Now there's black in the gum right under the fake tooth and a black line running toward one of the neighboring tooth. I have had blood when flossing, but that has diminished. I'm also going back to the dentist today. Any ideas what the problem could be? I have another bridge on the other side and have treated it exactly the same as this newer one and I've never had any problems from it. Thanks.

it is a large open sore and sometimes it bleeds. She, recently this year, has had a problem with tapeworms and was severely underweight. Very close to death, and has been healed as far as i know from it and is still underweight. Im thinking the sore in her gum is why she is underweight now, it hurts when she eats. I just found out about the sore after riding her a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine said it might be abcess and to try putting salt on it. Im really worried and wont to get that healed so she can get to her usual weight again. Any suggestions??? Please help! thank you!!
