Health - 5 August 2007

The man I am getting serious with is dyslexic, by no means though is he a underachiever, but it is hard to understand him sometimes. It is like his mind cannot focus or stay on a single thought and it is beginning to cause problems. I want this one to by THE ONE, but I know if we dont figure this out, which in turn will help us communicate, then we are not going to last past the season. If there is anyone out there that can give me some insight into this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks and GOD Bless!!!

A door just slammed in front of my toe, hitting the nail pretty hard and now the area under my toenail is bleeding. Only the top half is affected (the way the door hit my nail was pretty particular.. it was like kicking a wall with your toes). The front of the nail is also slightly cracked.

Should I be worried? How should I take care of the nail?

My wife just found out she has Gallstones. She's currently 5 months pregnant and has to drastically change her diet. What I want to know is what foods would be highly recommended for someone who just loves fast food. Please take in mind that she is not overweight. Any response would be appreciated.

I haven't felt good in so long. It started with nausea, headaches and dizziness, and random heartburn? I went to the doctor and he told me it was just "acid reflux" and i should get prilosec otc..... i keep getting cold after cold after cold. I never get sick like this! Also for the past week and a half I've been getting these weird weird headaches that start from the back of my head (above the back of my neck) working forward, it's not a migrane at all ( i used to get them bad! so I know the difference) , no aspirin/tylenol that you can buy OTC will stop the pain &I'm always cold (even sitting outside in 90 degrees with a jacket on doesn't help)! They come and go throughout the day. My short term memory is fading pretty quickly as well. I'm not too sure what it could be? *I'm NOT pregnant. &The heart burn hasn't come back since I got prilosec OTC.* Any advice other than "go to the dr" would be appreciated! I hear that every day....

the past like six months i have been having sleeping problems and my sleeping hygene is bad because at night i can't fall asleep even with sleeping pills it's hard to go to sleep. and i don't want to overdose on that stuff. during the day i feel tired and sleepy but the only problem is that if during the day i try to fall asleep i can't. i don't know what's wrong with me. can somebody help?

My 12 year old sister just tried out for cheerleading this year. She didn't make it. I have been a cheerleader all my life and I promised her to help her this year. I want to start training her now so she will be ready this time. Any advice on stretches/diets/exercise etc. or just advice on cheeleading.
She is 12 but will be 13 for tryouts next year. She is not very flexible so i want to get her to be more flexible and she is a little overweight. She is 5"4 and weighs 150 lbs. please help this really means alot to her

im allergic to fruits, except bananas and oranges. im worst off eating apples, cherries, pears, peach, and plum. they make my lip swell and i get a boil on my lip, plus my throat and gums itches/burns and sometimes its hard for me to breathe, so i cough a lot. i dont know why im allergic to them....they taste so good. i know that my allergic reaction is not very pleasant, but i take a taste once in a while and then i regret it. im tired of eating bananas and oranges...i want to eat the other fruits...is there a medicine to like prevent my symptoms?

At the age of 5 or 6, I was sexually molested by 2 of my older cousins. They were in their mid to late teens. I told my mother about it at the time and she told me I should be ashamed of myself, it was my own fault and I should never tell anyone. Now as an adult, the reaction from my mother at that time, has caused me to have severe depression, lack of self worth and anger! I should also mention, I have worked as an adult model, escort, starred in XXX movies and I am a swinger. I have never been able to have a real relationship for more than 2 yrs. I have 2 children by 2 separate fathers. When I try to talk with my mom about the incidents 30+ yrs ago, she says there isn't anyway I was molested, as if I was I would be afraid of men, instead of (as she stated) looking to be molested.
I explained its quite the contrary; People who has been molested become molesters ( I haven't or even thought about it) and exactly what I have become. Please help, this is destroying my family!

I have some pretty significant abdominal pain with diarrhea. I went to the ER and all and they couldn't find any serious underlying cause and I will follow up today with a family doctor. I know that you should hydrate if you have diarrhea, but since I have the gut pain I'm wondering if I should just let my digestive tract rest for now. Any opinions?

my friend just married her boyfriend of a year and after 2 weeks(he like 26 and this is his second marrage) he lost controll and pushed her around and slapped her around. she is also having there kid. (6 months along) i spent a day in the hospital with her to make sure that the baby was ok. (it was)
i'm so woriied about her. she was away for 3 days and has gone back telling me that they have decided to go to counseling. i'm worried, i don't believe that a guy like this could be helped. someone please let me know if this has or hasn't worked for you.
i don't want her to end up on the news. being a nother missing woman.

okay, for me personally it seems like sex has become such a casual "event" in my life, and in my opinion kissing is more personal than having sex with someone! does anyone else feel this way? (oh, and im 25 & have just recently found my "person", so im not currently sleeping around, but in the past, well thats history, lol)

It all started back in 96 throwing up coffe grind like blood the pumped stomach found more did scope and said that they really did not find anything but the other day found out that there was some iritation and tommorow going to go get anugi barium x-ray doneand alsoh pylori ab serum done then the next monday a scope done here are my symptoms throwing up coffe ground like blood and constant burning of stomach and when i eat if i get full it hurts and burns more have coughed up little polyps that have a weird odor and threw up a little slime that was like the polyps

yea its gross huh?
all over my room. i live in a basement.
they crawl back out of the vacuum.
the basement i live in is unfinished (im only 17 you cant complane that i live in 1) and there all over the place.
i have seen some at almost 5-6in
they are attracted to water witch is a problem. my parents said i cannot put up walls so i garage sailed 2 really old 300 gallon fishtanks and filled em up. 1 with 3 oscars and the other with an arowana. but those centipedes will hang out on the ceiling above because the moisture. occasonally 1 will fall in and they will eat it.

how do you get rid of these little demon spawns?

She is nauseated, fever of 100, and a bad headache. Today around noon she ate "Fast Fixins" frozen Chicken Strips, That was all she ate today and about an hour or so after she became nausiated and has been sleeping most the day. Can anyone tell me what I can do for her?
The Frozen Chicken strips are made by Advanced Brands, Oklohoma, OK. 73156. Has anyone heard of any recalls?

has suddenly had a severe personality change five days ago,she was recouperating very well and used a cane to get around but then her personality changed and now she has the mind of a 7 year old,shes started to wet the bed,she refuses to get up off of a couch or a chair or the other way around getting her to sit down! shes very defiant ,her cane sits in the corner and shes gone back to her walker,my father who has his own troubles ( hes ninety three)has to bulldoze her to move . i have a brother whos a busy dentist and is married with a 5 month old daughter,hes put me in charge of taking care of my father when he had his brain surgeryand it was no picnic. now that mom is ailing i hope i wont be thrown into that hellish nightmare again.does it sound like my mother could be hospitalized for whatever.then that will mean that i will have my father to watch with an eagles eye and make sure he doesnt take off on me looking for my mother.
