can u strech a strechmark i mean like when i streched my arm i got a scracth like pain where i have strechmarks and i think i might have streched it more can that happen?( the strech mark is near my armpit area

I have been on Aviane since September 2006, but starting in May, I start breakthrough bleeding on the 3rd to last day of my active pill every other month. I talked to a random nurse (I don't usually see her) at my gynecologist's office and she said that the bleeding is just annoying but I should still be safe. I know that she is a nurse and that I should be able to trust her, but I have read on reputable websites that breakthrough bleeding after the third month on birth control means your prescription is too weak and that you are not protected. Does anyone have any experience with this?? My boyfriend and I use spermicidal condoms anyway, but I am just curious about this stupid pattern. She gave me a prescription for Lo-Ovral, but I would rather stay on Aviane if I am protected and just bear through the annoying bleeding every other month (weird, I know). Thanks.

Also: about to have dental work done and I am going to be on Valium and Vicodin - i dont think those interfere or do they?

when i wake up in the morning i have 2 cups of coffee, but before i drink even half a cup of coffee i am running to the restroom to have a very loose bowel movement. I ran out of coffee lastnight and i didn't have any when i woke up, i didn't need to go to the restroom at all. i don't want to give up coffee all together. has anyone had this problem and what did they do. by the way i drink my coffee with sweet n low and non dairy creamer.

i posted a few days ago about my abusive father. i cut and feel suicidal alot because of him, well earlier yestereday my mom left. i dont know what was wrong, she took the keys her purse and her wallet and left, but i know she loves me, and my dad. she has been under alt of pressure lately. well, my father has been drinking twice as much now, and hitting me more then ever, i feel sick alot now, and i am on the verge of considering to commit suicide, cutting is getting, old and isnt helping me anymore. it makes me feel worse. i dont know what to do, everything was going okay, but things just got 100% times worse. my brother is on drugs and is missing, my mom left without a word, my dad is constatnly abusing me, and i feel like runnin away. i dont want to call social services, i dont want them to get involved, but if i try, and my dad catches me god knows what he would do? and none of my friends understand the real me, i am to scared to tell anyone close to me, what should i do? Help!!

Hi, this summer is basically the transition between my sisters childhood to adulthood. My sister is also moving out towards the end of this month, and up until now, I am just realizing, that this is it. My sister is growing up and she needs to start her life somewhere else.

She is moving to the College of William & Mary on the 24th. I mean, it isn't that far since my family is in Fredericksburg, which is about 70 miles away. However it is just like, I am going to miss her when she moves out and goes to college.

My sister was never really a social butterfly, and she never really spent that much time associating with me in childhood, but I know that she is really a homebody and doesn't like being that far from home. I am wondering if these thoughts of like, "This is it, she's growing up" and "In a few years I'm growing up and moving on too" are normal, since it seems now that my childhood, just like her's is coming to an end, and I am transitioning into adulthood.

Is it normal?

I was on a city bus... a new one. the driver was agitated. he stopped at the bus stop on the wrong side of the road. i got off the bus. as i was rounding the front of the bus to get on the sidewalk, the driver pulled away and knocked me over. He noticed that he had knocked me over but instead of stopping to help, he sped up and crossed the lanes to the right side of the road knocking most of my body under the bus with my torso and head sticking out. when he reached the rightmost lane, he bumped the curb and i was freed. He accelerated and tried to flee. I rolled a few times but got up. He came back and tried to run me over to finish me off since i could identify him. I got on a bicycle(very mad) and started racing after him around town. then he started to chase me around town(he was insane). I went into hiding and they caught him. he was retained at a recruiting center for the military and coast guard. I was to go identify him, but i woke up before i could go

Hi

When i was 11 i had a filling put in, but it fell out a few days later. After this my mam stopped taking me to the dentist.
However i have a son now, and we thought we should start going to the dentsist again to encourage good habits.
When i got checked i needed absolutly no work doing, so when i has the filling in my childhood, has my tooth miracuolsuly heald itself?? Or are dentists giving treatment when theres actually no need!

I've been been taking ortho tricyclen lo for 2 years and noticed a VERY big decline in my sex drive. Im going to switch over to desogen (sp). Should I take extra precaution while having sex, or will it just be as effective. Also, if anybody is on Desogen, did you experience any weight gain because I would like to be on somethign that puts some weight on me !

i have smoked for about 3-4mnths and i have decided to stop, as i'm only 16. i never really knew just how bad it is for you as i grew up with both my mum and granma smoking but now i know just how bad it is. and i have mild pain in my chest when i take really deep breathes and its only been today and its not all the time. is it anything serious or just something expected. serious answers only thx.

I just had a c section baby on monday and my feet look like balloons. They are so swollen. I called my doc and they said elevate them and also move around alot and it's normal......... but.......... it freaking hurts so bad...... it even is swollen in my legs below my knees. help!

I believe the more involved the gov gets, the less effective the options. Also, won't this limit the doctor's freedoms by keeping some doctors from moving out of smaller rural communities if they want to, because then they will take away health care for those people assigned to them?

Since about January my periods have been irregular whereas always before that were consistent. In March I had my period twice, then 6 weeks later in May and not since then. During this time, I increased amount of exercise - running about 3 miles per day and light weight lifting. In addition, I am also a student so stress may be a factor. However, I have had severe gas, bloating, and constipation. It has gotten progressively worse overtime. Generally, when I eat something my stomach hurts. Some things do not bother it as much, such as popcorn but foods like Mexican and drinking beverages like beer make me really uncomfortable and in a lot of pain. The pain is slightly sharp and severe enough to interfere with my life. I've been to a gastrologist who is giving me meds, to learn what I have or what will make me better trial by error. I don't want to wait months after trying different meds. Has anyone had similar symptons?
