You need to read the direction that came in your tampon box. It is recommended that you change them at least every 8 hours (every 4-6 hours is ideal). If you leave a tampon in longer you are increasing your risk of TSS (toxic shock syndrome). There is information about this in you tampon box too.

If it is taking 9 hours before you need to change it, then you should just use a mini-pad. You are putting yourself at risk for toxic shock syndrome by wearing it that long. 2-3 hours for normal sized tampons. Any longer and you are probably using too heavy an absorbancy.

From reading the instructions that came in the box of tampons, it's 4-8 hours depending on your blood flow.

often. i'll say at least once every hour. the reason why? there might not be alot of blood on it say by the end or your period. but there's bacteria to think about. you need to keep it clean down there. in fact after your mornig shower you should use moist nappy's that are meant for that perpose to clean the area. after changing the tampon. the tampon's are clean yes but the little bit of bacteria that's on your hand's can get on it then you get ichy it's a mess. you can also bring on a yeast infection. which is god awful. yuck. which women get even if they change their diet's. it's sooooo easy to get yeast infection's. but another tip is alway's wash your hand's befor replacing a tampon or pad or that matter. keep clean girl's
though i'm sure you are. you just have to be super clean during your period. it can tend to get stinky if you dont change often

You should change it every few hours. Just be careful when leaving a tampon in for long periods of time because of toxic shock syndrome.

you should change it after up to 8 hours. sometimes it's neccessary to change it more often, and that's fine. but it shouldn't be left in longer than 8 hours. contiually leaving them in for too long can lead to toxic shock syndrome. read the instructions that come with the tampons, they're in every box.

you will get used to understanding whilst to alter it the greater you place on them. donning a tampon shouldn't exceed over 8 hours, besides the fact that it incredibly is greater useful to no longer shop them in longer than 4-6 hours. make certain you get the splendid length; try procuring one in each and every of those containers that provides each and every length and you could be certain which one works top for you. additionally, considering you would be worried approximately bleeding by using, placed on a panty-liner for now on your undies until you may get used to once you could exchange your tampon. additionally, that's no longer embarrassing, it incredibly is common. solid luck! :)

if you can go nine hours without leaking, go for it.
but dont leave it in more than 10. i remember back in 5 grade we were learning about them and the lady said if you leave them in for more than 10 hours youre risking getting an infection.
if you can constantly go nine hours without changing, you should consider getting a less absorbant tampon. say if you're using supers, get regulars. cuz if you can commonly get away nine, you will get used to it and going one more hour or so wont seem like anything, and that could be a bad idea...
infections are not fun.

9 hours is ok but its not something you want to do all the time. its suppost to be changed ever 4-6 hours. so going 9 is ok just dont do it all the time.
