Why do fat, obese people yawn so much and so insistently? All the fat people I know yawn much more than thinner people.

My 55-year-old type II diabetic friend went to a free clinic yesterday. Her blood sugar has been in the 200 to 350 range with occasional spikes in the 400's and 500's. She says it was 108 when they took it at the clinic. Also said that she only has to use her monitor once a day from now on. She is currently living in my home and has been very sick. Serious neuropathy in her feet, cataracts and retinal edema. Falls often. I am concerned that she isn't getting right-on advice, especially only checking her blood sugar once a day (after breakfast one day, after dinner the next). Does this sound right to you? I got some very helpful answers to the question I asked yesterday.

My doctor recommended that I start taking Lexapro for some depression. Has anyone else ever tried it, if so, what have your experiences been?

My husband has had 2 tests checking his gallbladder. One of the test came back and it said it could possibly be his gallbladder. This doctor wanted to take out his gallbladder, but we asked to be referred to another doctor because we didn't want the surgery done in our small town hospital. My husband's doctor referred him to a gastroenterologist in a larger city. The gastroenterologist said my husband's problems are not related to his gallbladder. This doctor has run several tests. My husband has had a colonoscopy, a barium test, several stool samples, and a blood test. We've als had our well water tested. All of the tests have come back without any problems. We don't know what to do now. My husband is not sleeping much anymore. My husband also has diarreah. He is not eating anything that should be causing that. He doesn't eat dairy products. We only drink Lactaid milk. My husband has lost 20 pounds The doctor is currently looking into his thyroid. Can someone help us

I just started using the birth control patch and I'm worried it will end up being bad for my skin. Having my skin stuck under this patch 24/7 can't be good, because it can't breathe. Do you know if these patches are breathable. Or feel free to tell me about any other experiences with the patch.

Or a family counselor, etc.? I know there are differences between these professionals, and his daughter seemed worried that he said the word "psychiatrist". She said why not a counselor? Does anybody here have any insight? She has been aliented from, and poisoned against him by her mother. There is no other way than therapy for them to get their relationship back on track. We love her and want her to be a part of our family as well as her mother's.

Okay so I need to know if I go to the emergency room for a tooth that is infected and broke off. Will they call in a dentist to fix it? Or can the attending Dr. Fix it? You see my insurance will cover ER but not Dental....Stupid I know. My tooth broke and is grossly ifected and needs to be pulled. I think there is a nerve exposed which is causing SEVERE pain.
Please no lectures, Only answer if you have actually been in this situation of know actual facts about it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.

It's not heart disease, attack, or stroke. I'm 27 and fit. I'm wondering if it might be caused by something else. About 4 months ago I had an accident on my dirtbike and I screwed up something in my lower back. It still hurts and stiffens up if I sit too long or something. Could a spinal injury at about the waist line cause something like that?
