That depends??? If your drinking soda pop wines like Boone's Farm, YES!!! Dry red & white wines aren't going to make a big difference in your weight loss unless your drinking a couple quarts a day. Sometimes when we drink wine we also indulge our stomachs with food to compliment the wine, now that's where you can run into trouble. The key to any diet must be afitness program along with a senseable diet.

If you can't bring yourself to give up the wine, try pouring smaller glasses and alternating them with a glass of water to slow your drinking down (eg sparkling water with a slice of lemon). Depending on how much of a wine buff you are, you can also water down the wine itself to reduce the amount you are drinking (some italian wines taste fine this way).

How much wine is the key here. Your liver is key to weight loss. It does the work. If your drinking too much weight/fat loss could become a problem.

Best way to find out is quit the booze for now and see if your weight drops. If it does, you'll need to reduce your regular consumption of alcohol.

Why don't you check the rest of your diet/workout routine. Wine can be beneficial to you, in moderation. Plus, it is a truely wonderful drink.
