This is a good question, And I will make sure that I mark the thumbs up,
Now to answer this question, I want to say this of all, I do not think it's a good thing for a 16 year-old who wants bigger breast or a straighter nose just because it's the in thing to do, But as for older more mature woman or men that is, I think it's not about being right or wrong, With todays doctors and now how you would think it would all be safe and clean cut but, it's not, I have seen women that has had cosmetic surgery done just because and it has almost killed them but never the less it did scar them for life, If someone needed cosmetic surgery for like medical reasons then I see nothing wrong with it, I actually understand it, but, to go under the knife per say just because I want but not need bigger **** or fatter lips, then I think it should be really thought through. So it's not wrong just not for everyone.................I think anyone who wants to do it should make sure that they do their homework on it and at least wait til you are old enough to really realize what it is they are doing...........

That depends on the individual.

For ME, its wrong...but I don't have anything I feel bad enough about to render going through all the pain. The only thing about me that really gets down is my tummy, but I could make it look a hell of alot better if I'd get off my lazy butt and do sit ups, though I've never been able to achieve one of those tiny waists even when I used to be athletic. Its just not possible, my body is built the way it is to support my naturally hefty boobs.

So many viewpoints, it's a very individual thing. Personally I wouldn't, as if something went wrong, I would think it was punishment for not being grateful for what I have been born with. Saying that though, if I broke my nose and the surgeon could give me a better one whilst fixing it, I wouldn't say no so...!

It is definitely right if medically required to resolve physical disfigurement. If we all wish to retain our freedom of choice as a democratic society then cosmetic surgery should be treated just as another example of this freedom. If it helps someones self esteem so be it.

i think its right - its helped so many people. people who are born with disfigurements, people who have been injured and need re-constructions, women who have lost a breast due to cancer. its still classed as cosmetic surgery. its also given self confidence to millions of people and given them a new lease of life! i know if i could afford it i would have afew things done - it really would change my life.

I don't know if you can use terms like "right" or "wrong" when talking about it. I think its a service that is available, and people who want to and can afford it should take advantage of it. If they chose to get plastic surgery then why in the world would we judge them? If you don't like it then don't get it, its as simple as that.

I think it's right for that certain person if it makes you more outgoing and not as self concious i would say go for it as long as you can afford it
