It's possible. Many people are born with eczema and outgrow it. Others develop it later on, sometimes it is a passing thing and sometimes a more serious condition. It really depends upon how bad it is and how well you care for it.
There are alternative remedies like herbal supplements and oils, but I wouldn't count on these one hundred percent to "cure" it. See a dermatologist (or atleast a general doctor!), they can offer you face washes, steroid creams, and possibly steroid shots to clear the problem! This may be something you will have to battle with the rest of your life, so come to peace with that and truely LISTEN and FOLLOW the instructions your doctor gives you!!
Also, ask your doctor what types of products you should AVOID putting on your skin that could irritate it!
And avoid sunlight on your eczema!!!!!!!!!!!

She might need something stronger than you can get over the counter. Two of my children have gotten eczema many times in thier lives. Thier pediatrician has prescribed two things for it: A cream called Elidel and another cream a little stronger called Triamcinolone Acetonide. These help well, but are not for extended use. She said once it clears up to use plain old fashioned Vaseline. That is what is supposed to be best. Also try a different cleanser like Cetaphil or Dove.

I thought I heard that Eczema gets better after a person is older. Like children have it, but then outgrow it. But I know that adults can still get it, I had it on my hand. I dont believe it will spread all over the body. It needs to have hydrocortizone or something else that the Dr. prescribes for you.
