I've asked this q before but after reading a bk called world peace diet I think I should ask it again cos the author, Dr. Tuttle, suggests that its the 1 way we're gonna end exploitation , pain and misery cos we'll be eliminating them from our diets and , eventually, our world. I'm in agreement with this philosophy and was wondering how others felt about it...

i pass worms often after a rainy shower and see them rolling abot in pain cos either they have been trodden on or have lived in an area away from water for a while and appear desperate for water. I try and give them some if i can but feel guilty about leaving them sufferng and in pain - You wouldn't walk past a stranger who was famished or had his leg broken and I realise they're not human and its difficult to help every1 and everything but I'm a vegan and feel that I should help animals , humans and the environment when I can. I was wondering how other people feel about this...

I'm not technically a vegetarian (I eat fish) but to save time when ordering food I ask for vegetarian options. In restaurants I'll often be offered pumpkin soup, and I always ask if it was made on chicken stock. Sometimes the waiter/ess will say "yes" straight off and I like to time how long it takes for the look of comprehension to invade their face. Others will argue "but it's pumpkin soup, pumpkin's a vegetable" and then get really grumpy when I ask them to check with the chef. Takes the gloss off slightly if they come back with a negative answer, but that isn't usually the way it goes.

But the thing that really gets me is how many bakery workers seem to think bacon is a vegetable. "Does that quiche have any meat in it?" "Oh no, just a bit of bacon." Aaargh!

i have been a vegetarian for 16 years(since i was 7 years old) and me, my boyfriend, and our son have been going to this mexican resturant at least once a week for about 6 months. i get the so called "vegetarian" platter, with the cheese enchilada and a bean burrito. well, we went there today, and i got my same plate, but this time, i seen meat in the sauce when i got it. i asked the girl, and she said the cook swears theres no meat, so she brought it back to me. i found a couple more pieces of beef, (which my b/f varified for me) and sent it back to get one with no sauce.the waitress said she asked the cook, and he said that all the enchilada sauce, is cooked with beef, but they try not to get the meat in the vegetarian plates. i feel like i have been so deceived into believing it was a vegetarian meal, when its not even close to being. what do you guys think i should do? *thanks for any input*

This is my first article for this site and my first piece of writing in 2 or 3 years. I know I'm rusty, but I was hoping to get some feedback on how helpful and informative it was for being a small work of writing. My profile page is:

The name of it is article is

TVP: A Totally Versatile Product for Vegans

It will be the only one under my profile.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate any and all serious comments.

I've been a vegetarian now for about 4 months...I've never felt any cravings for meat until the last 2 weeks..I don't know what's wrong with me b/c I've never felt like this...but it's really, really intense..part of the problem is that my university has a really poor selection of vegetarian choices, so i find myself eating salad, fruit, or rice everyday for dinner..i leave feeling starving and unsatisfied...
I don't know what to do because I don't want to start eating meat again, but my cravings have gotten so bad i've actually had 2 dreams about eating meat!! Does anybody have any advice, because I don't want to give up!

I think cabbage is one of them, and carrots. Don't panic, either, because this is not an excuse to gluttonize, but it's really more of an ALLEGORICAL question.
