Just wanted to know because I thought I would give it a try. Plus a couple of my friends are vegan so I thought it would be great for them to eat cake as well. That way they are not left out on good cake goodness. :) Thanks, all recipes are welcome.

Can you please tell me the difference your body feels now since you have stopped consuming meat? I haven't been a vegetarian for long, but would like to know for health reasons why it is better? I am writing an essay on this for school and would love your opinions..thanks so much!

I totally agree on the issues about the environment and animal cruelty, but how do studies prove that it is bad for our bodies? Most people believe that when they eat meat with minimal or no fat that it is better for the body, I agree. But what are some other factors why we shouldn't for our health? Don't mean to sound redundant...I know that protein is hard to digest, any other suggestions? If you have other ideas or sites to show why it is unhealthy, please answer, thanks so much!

My mom just came back from Amish country with some pictures of two nice Mennonite girls. Although they were pale, their skin was radiant. Then I saw a gentleman talk who's been a Vegan for a couple of decades. He looks like he got the glow! I want some of that. I also want to stop feeling sick every time I eat. I feel like this stuff I'm putting inside my body is killing me. For these reasons and more, I want to turn vegan. If not vegan, I at least want to eat healthy. However, two things are keeping me from doing so. One is that I don't know what constitutes eating healthy. Two is that I don't have a lot of money, seeing that I work only part-time.

I went to the Sunflower Market here in Columbus the other day and bought a head of lettuce. It was amazing how fresh and tasty the lettuce was!!! Though the head was smaller than the ones they sell at the grocery store, it didn't taste like someone had sprayed chemicals all over it before wrapping it for sale.

Please help if you can

I have been doing the vegetarian thing for a week now and I definitely feel better. However, I am still drinking milk and eating eggs. I want to take it in steps. Also, I really like cheese.

What are some good substitutes for dairy, cheese and eggs?
