Yes sometimes at first when you are mixing the ingredients.. I am not sure why but then it goes away ..maybe just when it is warm ? Perhaps it is the sulphur in the eggs..? ..I haven't used eggs in many years but I remember long ago ..it did smell at first ..lol

well, if you use boiled eggs then of course it's going to smell a little funny at first.

well... if it's got mayonnaise or eggs it's going to have kind of a funny smell.
it shouldn't smell too bad though...
