Can you please tell me the difference your body feels now since you have stopped consuming meat? I haven't been a vegetarian for long, but would like to know for health reasons why it is better? I am writing an essay on this for school and would love your opinions..thanks so much!

I completely stopped eating meat about ten months ago. I lost a few pounds the first month without trying. The most notable difference is I don't feel fatigued or drained after I eat.

The foods I eat now, well my body uses them as fuel and I feel good after I eat them. When we eat meat it takes sooooo much longer to digest. The foods I eat now just give me a lighter, more healthy feeling overall.

oh, and I have a better complexion and am sick less.

Meat rots in your body before it gets digested. People who eat red meats are at a higher risk for colon cancer. Also, meat can cause serious health problems. For example, tuna and salmon cause memory loss. If a pregnant woman eats these fish, her child will have difficulties learning to speak and other things.

There is much less saturated fat in my diet,
The protein from milk, soya, cheese, baked beans, eggs etc, is much better for you than the protein from meat,
Doesnt contain high cholesterol
Stilll easy to eat iron
Once i became vegy i began to eat more vegetables, so it introduces you to a wider variety of food...
I lost a little bit of weight when i became vegy, and i feel more cleansed as a person!!!
erm..i cant think of anything else!
go to www.viva.com, it is the best vegy website ever and ell help loads with nutrition facts.
good luck persuading the world (or your teacher) why vegetarianism is healthy lol!!!

You just feel like.. better, physically and emotionally. Think about it, if you eat meat you have a piece of another being's body rotting inside of you. Also, veggies and fruits are so much better for you, and better for your body to digest.

I was crippled and in a wheelchair for 12 years. When I eliminated meat and other allergens from my diet, I healed 100 percent. Thats major! My hands were in braces 24/7, now I garden, sew, etc. and have full use of my hands. Proof enough for me. I feel and look great!
