I have recently switched over to using Soy Butter spread and it really tastes great. Since it is soy I am not as self conscious about really spreading it on toast and using it for other cooking needs but I was wondering if it is bad for you in any way? There are a few of them out there but I am trying the Soy Garden which has no trans fat, non-dairy, no preservatives, and gluten free.

Here are the exact ingredients:
"NON-GMO INGREDIENTS: Expeller-Pressed Natural Oil Blend (soy, palm fruit and olive), filtered water, pure salt, natural flavor (derived from corn, no MSG, no alcohol, no gluten), crushed soybeans (defatted), soy lecithin, lactic acid (non-dairy, derived from sugar beets), natural annatto color."

To me that seems pretty healthy, but I was wondering if someone knows something I don't about those ingredients.

I can cook for vegetarians and vegans, the people who freak me out are those who eat meat, as long as it doesn't look like a bit of an animal. What's that about? Same dish, (osso bucco) first time, she wouldn't eat it, she slipped her meat onto my son's plate. Second time (with malice afrorethought, same dish, but I took the meat off the bone and presented it as a stew. No problem!

The barn raised eggs from the same manufacturer have the RSPCA stamp of approval - the free range eggs do not? Why?

PS: I know caged hen eggs are bad! - I dont buy them and won't. I am not going to become vegan! Please answer the specific question - dont give me your idealogical rant

I am a vegetarian, and I consume very small amounts of milk products, and also honey. I thought vegans just refrained from animal products ect......... I am just curious as to why honey is banned, bees are an insect. Please do not take offense to this question because it was not intended for insult.
