WHat did you use to fry it? Ya know with veggie burgers i think its ok to fry them in a little bit of oil because they have a significantly less amount of fat than real bugers. If you put them in the microwave they are kind of soggy.
Anyway, the soybeans in the burger could have caused the oil. BUt did you just ry to fry the burger in a dry pan? Ya cant do that. You should use a spray oil and just use a little which is all you'll need to fry the burger. Oh, they also taste fabulous grilled! You should try that. That way you wouldnt have to use oil.

I'm not positive where it came from but soybeans do have a natural oil in them. I never cook my veggie burgers in the pan. UsuallyI just pop them in the microwave. I eat Morningstar Farms or Boca burgers and they always come out great. I've been a vegetarian for 17 years and still use these two brands.

Soybeans have some oil.Did you use some Pam,or some oil in the preparation of the pan? You should have used at least some olive oil in the bottom of the pan or a spay of Pam.I don't worry about Vege-Burgers..they are good..I use Morningstar Farms..I prefer their taste.

It relies upon on what form of veggie burger you have become. my own in call for is the Black Bean burger. i'm no longer fond of the tofu or soy veggie burger >.<. i admire the rice and been one too :D! they have some that are produced from basically veggie, which isn't that good. i'm no longer in all probability fond of the portabella mushroom veggie burger, yet you get the element. there are multiple kinds of veggie burgers. you could prefer to verify on which ones you like. consistently learn the climate. FYI they do no longer style like hamburgers. None of them do, yet they are even nevertheless super =D.

well most cooking oil is soybean, so it stands to reason that the fake meats would have oil too. I dont like the fake stuff-I make a great patty with mashed bean and potato, or grilled portabello mushrooms. The fake stuff has lots of unhealthy artificial ingredients and fillers. Most contain wheat gluten. I wouldnt be surprised to see many veggies delelop allergies to wheat and soy

They say its VGEGGIE BURGER but its all just stuff to fool u to buy it. Even if it is made with vegetables, you need oil to make burger period. Also there is vegetable oil and there are oil that comes from plant products

worry about the calories not the oil. If they are less than 150 calories then the burgars are fine.

The oil you see is vegetable oil (soy, corn, canola, safflower, etc)

Try Boca burgers, they are pretty 'dry'.
