Guess what frnds, yesterday ate some mushrooms and an instant question came to my mind.

Mum said it`s not good to pict mushrooms which have sprung out
frm.....Dog`s urine. She told me it`s poisonous!!!

But those sprung out from rain water, are edible.

Is that really true? Can you give me other factors which leads
to poisonous mushrooms coming out from nature??

I`m really interested on it...

Thanks!!!

Don't eat red meat, but eat turkey, chicken, or fish. I heard somewhere that you can be a red meat vegetarian or something like that...

My son is 16yrs old. For the past yr he has cut out meat completely in his diet. My question is, even though occasionally he eats nuts, he needs something that will keep his teeth strong. They're loosening. I've heard of men and women in the military that are out in the field for weeks, even months, and their teeth start to become loose. Calcium isn't enough, the teeth have to be worked. Does anyone have any suggestions on what he can chew on that will strengthen and be good for him also?

He would also like to workout and build his muscles up, he's a very skinny kid. He takes vitamins, but doesn't like milk, not even organic milk. So the calcium he gets is mostly from the vitamins.

I want him to grow strong with healthy teeth. But I'm at a loss. I'm tired of seeing him eat just pasta or salads. Theres got to be more out there..right? Does anyone have or know a good website for vegans to get recipes from?

Thanks for any help.

I love animals so much and keep asking myself why I'm eating them. I would like to become a vegetarian, but I am scared I won't like it or be able to find tasty foods. I think I'd still eat eggs and drink milk and such. Just no meat. What are good foods to replace meat and give you protein? Also, when you go vegetarian, does it give you lots of stomach problems such as gas and diarrhea? I already have problems as it is, and don't want to make them worse.

I'm a vegan, but it seems like every time I eat with a carnivore, he tries to convince me to consume some flesh. Just the other day, my son tried to get me to put bacon in my cheese omelette. I just can't take it anymore!

What should I say?

Ovo-lacto Vegetarian (no Meat from ANY animal but will eat dairy and eggs)

Bored with banana sandwiches, PB&J,
Simple Salads, salsa and chips, PB & Crackers,
yogurt and pudding

I usually have juice boxes and fruit/berries

Looking for something else, any ideas (except JUST EAT MEAT, b/c it makes me sick, thank you very much) appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

PS. can use Microwave and have considered making my own pizza pops

Discounts and/or free admission to events like the Tofu Festival and Falken Showoff Auto Show in Little Tokyo. Tofu Fest on August 12 and 13 2006 and Falken Showoff on August 20, 2006. Last year I found a free admission coupon to Tofu Fest in the L.A. Times, but I don't know if they have it this year.
