My husband has not even said "Happy Birthday" to me yet but he is supposed to take son and I out to eat before driving out of town for work. I know he is stressed/preoccupied with his work, but I can't help feel a little miffed, and that maybe we should go somewhere "fancy" to make up for it. Today, my birthday, he came home for lunch and he silently-grumpily made his lunch and then left without saying "bye" -I had to run out in my bare feet to say "see ya later" to him...so what do you think I should do?

For all of the vegetarians out there... do you not eat meat because you cant stand the taste, or do you not eat meat because you feel that it would be cruel to the animals? Just wondering....

I eat a lot of soy products, so I know the health benefits. If soy is so healthy for you, then why isn't soybean oil listed as a healthy oil along with sunflower, safflower, flaxseed oil, and others?

i watched gordan ramsey last night and he was shown how pigs are treated up until there death. its discusting and so sad because
they are in such cramped conditions with loads in one penn,
they cut there tails off when they are babies so they dont bite each
others but its wrong, they do it with the little piglets are awake
screaming there heads off. now i feel that we live in a country
that dont care how anyone or anything feels, we kill and slauter
animals everyday for what so we can stuff out faces,and makes us fat. is there any vegs out there? does anyone try to stop this happening?

I believe these issues should go hand in hand as if you believe it is wrong to kill an animal surely you should believe it wrong to kill a human child. I am curious how many vegetarians out there see this connection and how many don't and why.

I made an almond burger yesterday, but there is too many ingredients. I put in soaked almonds in a blender, carrots, glove of garlic, all kinds of spices. (Total of nine ingredients.) Could it be any simpler than that?
