I was 50lbs overweight! I've lost it all now, though. I used to eat way too much junk - I love chocolate and crisps! All the products I used to gorge myself on were suitable for vegetarians... Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike need to watch what they eat to avoid weight problems.

No I've never met a fat veggie. Neither have I met many who are seriously underweight. Then again, most of the vegetarians and vegans I know are intelligent and know about how to eath healthy and ballanced diets and get the food they need to stay healthy and at the right weight. The key to being a good, healthy, fulfilled individual is to get as much knowledge as possible about what you're putting into your body so you can live properly and without weight, health or other problems.

I have been Vegetarian all my life and the only time my figure changed was when I went Vegan this was not a good idea! under weight pale no energy and friends thought I was anorexic never again.
Went back to normal within about 3 months but all people are different my best friend is also Vegetarian but has a figure that is extremely womanly glad to think we are all different though.

Not with a SERIOUS weight problem. But a little too thin or a little overweight is easy to do, whatever your dietary choices.
But it is true that we all need to be aware of what we eat.
If you eat well, you should never have a 'protein deficiency' - most meat eaters are suffering from protein poisoning as they eat WAY too much of the wrong sort of protein - ie: stuff that someone ELSE has aready converted into body-mass.

It is not a given across the board but I'd say it is safe to say less vegetarians struggle with being overweight.

I've once knew a male nurse who was definitely overweight but I don't know if he thought that was a problem. He worked in psychiatric hospitals and the other nurses liked having a man of his size around when the patients became violent.

It is not possible to be a TRUE vegetarian and be overweight. Except, of course, in the beginning when you realize that you need to change your diet.

No but then again I have never seen a healthy looking vegetarian either, they all seem to look as white as ghosts.
