I am a 23 year old male who has not eaten meat at all in the last 30 days. I now find the idea of eating meat vile and discusting. I have also stoped eating eggs.I do still eat dairy products such as cheese and milk. Do you think I am a vegitarian or is 30 days not sufficent time to be sure?

I love love love animals. And when I read up some on all the pain they have to go through when they're made into burgers, I nearly cried. =[[

Vegan recipes seem pretty healthy, too. For the most part. I'm seriously considering trying the vegetarian lifestyle for a while. But my family thinks it's the funniest idea in the world. Any ideas I can use to prove to them that it's perfectly reasonable?

thanks =]

Hello Everyone!

My husband has started fasting for the holiday season. (Religious) He can not have dairy or meat. Seafood is ok. Any good recipies out there we could try. I'm not a big fan of seafood so i would like to try something else. Maybe with ToFu? Any suggestions would be apprechaited.

I do eat animal products but I rarely wear them. (no fur of course, and hardly ever leather) I was looking into how our meat comes to be in our stores and I did feel bad. I would like to start adopting a different lifestyle butI find it very difficult. Did everyone switch completely right away or over time? I don't eat meat that often but I do eat animal products (cheese, eggs etc...) How do I find out recipes, how to stay healthy without meat... and other important facts?

Supposing I neither killed nor really harmed a living animal to do so, would you consider eating it?

Assuming we were past the "OMG it's an abomination unto God!" stage.

On the Internet, there must be a gazillion recipes for any dish you can dream up. Give us the name of the best dish you have personnally made that you found on the Internet. Give the link to same, so that the rest of us can cook it too.

Right now, I'm looking for a good Holiday chutney made with tomatoes.

No meaty dishes . This year I am entertaining guests who are vegetarians and besides veg salads, fruit pies and X'mas cakes, I am having difficulties coming up with something vegetarian which is appropriate for a X'mas dinner.

Okay, I know vegetarians can't include any animal flesh into their diet, but eggs are an embryo, and when it's cooked, they're eating part of an animal right? It isn't a plant for sure... Just wondering about why some people claim to be vegetarian, but turn around and eat something that came out of a hen.

I'm not trying to sound mean, but I just want to know.

and slammed it against the wall, it made me angry and i suggested to him opening the doors and ushering the animal out that way, unharmed....instead the bat flew into the back and an employee came out with a plastic garbage bag with the dead animal in it. Anything I can do about that, or is it pretty much over and done with? Can I call anyone, or report it somewhere?

I am asking here as there is no other Vegan area, that I have found.
