This might be a really stupid question but can you buy tofu from places like Walmart or Albertsons? Or do you have to find it at health food stores? Also what are the best ways to cook it? I would love for any of you to include great recipes!

There's is NO scientific proof to say organic foods are better. Furthermore, nobody decides whether or not a food can say it is Organic, so any company can just call it that without adhering to some federal standard. Non-organic foods many times are genetically enhanced to last longer, taste better, resist disease, and HAVE MORE NUTRIENTS than they normally do in nature. There are actually studies that say, since 'organic' foods dont use pesticides, that organic foods can be LESS HEALTHY because of the insects that carry diseases that use these organic foods as their breeding grounds. This isn't really a question, I'm just tired of people falling for marketing schemes without ever researching what their spending money on. Please, save your money, science is good for you, don't buy into nonsense. Don't believe me? Google it.

Twice now I have been told uncooked Broccoli has feelings, a nerve center and can feel you chewing it. Has any on else heard this? If it can feel this, it must be able to feel boiling water or steam ect.

If it were not for my boyfriend, I would be a full on vegetarian. As it is, a rarely eat meat and mostly that's just to keep my body being able to digest it. I have been in the process of trying to get him to like vegetables and vegetarian dishes. He tolerates it sometimes, but complains about not getting full because there is no meat. I think a lot of it for him is mental. Any useful tips? I joke with my friends about how if I became a vegetarian, one of us would starve.

I once pooed dark matter. It took a good few minutes of straining to get it out, I thought I'd given birth to Jade Goody. Then I had a look in the bowl (well you've gotta) and it was the size of a pea with a wasting disease.

I know that a vegan and a vegetarian are extremely similar. But both of their definition are not exactly the same. How does a vegan differ from a vegetarian?

I am thinking about becoming a Buddhist, and with it, a vegetarian. I am pretty sure you have to take something to make up for what you lose when you cut meat out of your diet, but what? Is it different for each person? I know I should talk to my doctor about this, but I just want a heads up.

I have attempted to become a vegetarian a year ago and I did so for for about 6 months. Then, I cheated once and it was all over. Now, i'm thinking about cutting out certain meats at a time. For example, I've cut pork and chicken but I still eat turkey, fish and some beef. What steps should I take, what are good resources to read about to be sure I'm still getting the proper nutrients I need (such as what helps to absorb what?) and what are easy vegetarian meal to prepare for breakfast, lunch on the go, and dinner?
