It's only difficult if you allow other people to pressure you. If you're going to be in an environment where people are constantly putting you down for it or asking negative questions, it will be difficult, no doubt. But if you love animals as I've read you have, then the ethical decision is simple: confinement, disallowance of natural behaviours and brutal slaughter, or life? Even if the animals lead a fantastic life--which happens only in the smallest minority of instances--the desire to cook an animal instead of beans or some vegetables is not an ethical justification for ending the animal's enjoyment of his/her life.
If you're at all interested in morally sound eating, I urge you to go to the library and pick up a copy of "The Way We Eat" (2006) by Peter Singer and Jim Mason.
Be sure to read www.veganhealth.org for great nutritional advice before you start.

Its not that hard well it is at first. Im a vegetarian and at the beginning I was on and off. I tried more types of salads at fast food places because it is the only thing I can get (besides fries). But heres a website that totally convinced me on being vegetarian. Its a little scary, yet true. I hope you become a vegetarian because its a healthy way and I noticed I lost weight.

about two weeks ago i was in the same situation as you. i would try it, but take it slow. first eliminate red meat (pork, hamburgers, hot dogs, lamb, etc.) from your diet. and then work your way to taking away chicken and then ultimately fish. it hasn't really been that hard for me. the biggest problem is the support i get from family and friends. my mom is trying it with me, but my dad and brothers think it's ridiculous and un-healthy. but it IS healthy if you do it the right way. so do my neighbors and basically everyone that isn't a vegetarian and doesn't know anything about the concept. good luck to you =)

If you really want to then it wont be so hard. If there is a part of you that isn't sure then maybe you shouldn't become one. The world is a food chain. Don't stop eating meat because you feel bad. It is your decision though. I would recommend taking vitamins to substitute your protein intake.

If you love animals then it probably won't be hard. If you don't sincerely love animals then it might. To be a good vegetarian or vegan you kind of have to put others (in this case animals) ahead of yourself. If you own belly is more important to you than others' lives you probably won't last. It really comes down to your character.

You should do it. If your love for animals is greater than the love for their cooked flesh, then you will have no problems being a vegetarian.

Hey, everybody loves animals in their own way. If you feel the need to ask for opinions......you are NOT ready to become a vegetarian!

No, continue to eat lean meat such as chicken and fish. If you eliminate meat, then you have to make sure you eat the right combination of vegetable proteins. If you are willing to eat dairy products, then it would be easier to get the necessary protein.
