Vegetarians drink milk it is vegans that don't eat or drink animal products like milk eggs and meat.
Soy milk is actually made from the soy bean. It is quite nice and I wouldn't drink anything else.
Skim milk tastes watery becuase it has the cream skimmed off the top of it to make it low fat. There for it is not as creamy. It has not had water added to it like some people think

Yes, vegetarians drink milk, but vegans do not. Vegans do not ingest any animal products or by-products. Vegetarians will usually only eat animal by-products, as in eggs, milk, and the like, things that come from animals without killing them. Some vegetarians also eat fish, and other things that don't, or didn't have legs. Most people do not know this, but some chewing gum has pork in it. Skim milk is so watery becuase they "skim" the fat out of it.

Not a lot of people think about how the milk market affects calves - milk is their natural source of nutrition and yet they are fed formula rather then real milk. Read on:

Despite the myth of contentment, a dairy cow is the hardest worked of all farmed animals. She nurtures a growing baby inside her while simultaneously producing milk - up to 120 pints a day. To keep the flow going, she is forcibly impregnated every year and her babies are taken away a day or two after birth – year, after year.

Cows produce milk to feed their babies – just like humans. It flows for the best part of a year and then stops. More milk requires more babies. That’s the reality of dairy farming – the visible, obvious side of the industry. But there is another, cruel, much darker side to dairy which few see much and even fewer know about.

Drinking milk is cruel - it’s also unnatural. Only humans drink it after weaning – and milk from a different species, at that. It’s no more natural than drinking badger’s milk or cat’s milk. Designed for calves, many humans find milk hard to digest and the result is allergies. Hormones in milk are linked to ovarian, breast and prostate cancer, as well as juvenile-onset diabetes. The saturated fat, cholesterol and animal protein it contains are linked to many other diseases.

Despite huge public opposition, Britain's unwanted male dairy calves are again being shipped long distances to suffer in veal crates in France, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Unable to produce milk and too 'scrawny' for beef, up to 500,000 tiny male dairy calves will be exported to the Continent this year - the unwanted by-products of milk production

Vegetarians, yes. Vegans, no.

Soy milk is rich in protein, and contains soluble fiber. In addition to being cholesterol-free, studies have shown that a diet including soymilk actually helps lower levels of LDL (bad) cholesterol, while leaving HDL (good) cholesterol unaffected!

Ice milk is a smooth, sweet, cold food prepared from a frozen mixture of milk products, usually containing 3 to 6 percent butterfat, 11 to 14 percent nonfat milk solids, and 12 to 15 percent sugar.

It depends on the type of vegetarian. Ovo-lacto vegetarians drink milk. They also include egg, as well as dairy products, in their diets. Lacto vegetarians drink milk as well-- they include dairy products in their diet (but no eggs). Vegans do not drink milk, nor will they eat or use any animal product (some even abstain from honey). Pollotarian, Pescatarian are types of vegetarians that choose to include poutlry and seafood products in their diets, respectively. Many of these vegetarians may also be Lacto-ovo vegetarians as well. There are also flexitarians (a.k.a. semivegitarians) who are people who do eat meat but either prefer a vegetarian diet and lifestyle or choose to restrict the amount of meat that they do consume. There are other types of vegetarians as well, and these other types are not likely to drink milk. These include fruitarians, raw food eaters, macrobiotics, and more. Additionally a vegetarian may choose not to drink milk because of allergy, lactose intolerance, or personal preference and other factors.

Soy milk is basically soybean juice. If one so desired a basic form could be made at home. Many things are added to the soybean liquid sold in stores, of course, including stabilizers, flavoring, sweetners, and vitamins.

Skim milk tastes watery because it is fat free. All other milk has fat in it (whole, 2%, 1%). Fat tends to taste good in food. What tastes better? Fries that were oven baked or fries that were deep fried? Low Fat ice cream or the normal stuff? Margarine or butter? Normal Oreos or reduced fat oreos? Most people would choose the versions that contained the higher fat content as being tastier. To illustrate the fat content in milk, I pulled this off of www.dietitan.com/milk "Whole milk is 3.5% (approximately as it depends on the cow's diet) and 2% contains just 2% fat. There is approximately 1 1/2 tsp. of butter in whole, 1 tsp. of butter in 2% milk, 1/2 tsp. of butter in 1% and no butter in skim. " Unfortunatley there is no reference to tell us the size of the container reffered to here-- I am assuming gallon. The other link I posted under sources has a table comparing amounts of fat and other nutritional factors among the different kinds of normal milk by fat level. Skim milk IS more watery, thats why it tastes like it.
