I have started juicing at home, but just the quantity that will be consumed immediately.
Does anyone know if I can make a whole batch for two of three days and keep it in the fridge?
Does it keep? Or it defeats the whole purpose?

vegetarian food is the one which can prepare there food independently ( with out depending on any other life being). eg:- Plants ( whcih prepares their food by using photosynthesis) means it won't depend on the other life being.
Where as Non vegetarian food is the one which depends on other lifes to survey.
Above thing is main differene between vegetarian food and Non vegetarian food.
Now come to Egg, The egg is also generrated from life where it just like a seed to another life. as long as it is Egg it won't depend on any other life for surveyval.
So Finally Egg should be considered as vegetarian only.

I was at my favorite neighborhood restaurant today here in Dallas and was excited when I received the menu from the server, as it was brand new. However, when I opened it, I was horrified to find that my favorite dish, the chicken fried steak with gravy, had been taken off the menu. And there was a new section called "Vegetarian Favorites," taking up a large portion of the menu. I practically hit the roof and asked the manager about this, he confirmed my suspicion that there was not enough room to keep my dish on the menu, but lied by denying it was due to the new vegetarian section. After getting really angry and the fact that they were begging me to keep my voice down, they made it for me anyway. However, the fact that it wasn't on the menu left a bad taste in my mouth...Needless to say, I did not leave a tip.

So a question, why do vegetarians have the right to think that their psuedo-noble cause should affect the way everyone else eats. Why can't they mind thier own business?

Hey there...
Over the past four years, I have gained 35 lbs (gone from 125 to 160 - however, I am a near 6 ft tall woman)... I'm not obese so to speak, but I would like to feel I've got better control over my figure. My diet consists primarily of fresh veggies, tofu, and tvp... Granted, I've become quite the tvp/tofu fiend over the past year. Any recommendations that won't turn my vegetarian diet back into blatant salad abuse? (Oi... so... much... salad...) Did I perhaps just go too crazy with "variety" in the form of tofu and tvp?

I'm a vegetarian, and I was wondering, what types of spices could I use to add more flavor to my veggies?

Something hot and spicy would be nice.

Any recommendations?

If you've had your cholesterol levels measured recently, post them and say whether or not you're eating a "cholesterol-free diet", if you catch my drift.

I'm curious to see what effect a cholesterol-free diet has on cholesterol levels.

My HDL's 51, my LDL's 36, my triglycerides are 106, and I am on a cholesterol-free diet.

I am chaperoning a trip and have a student who is vegan. We are providing quick, on the go breakfasts for them 2 mornings which typically includes bagels (cream cheese, jam), cheese, oranges, apples, Nutrigrain bars, pudding cups, juice boxes and water bottles. What are some items commonly found in grocery store like Superstore (Canada) that I can buy for her as substitutes? Items for a student with a fatal milk allergy? Thank you!!

Im making brown rice and some assorted fried veggies (yellow and green string beans, corn, water chestnut, carrots, brocolli and red bell peppers). Except when I fry veggies I never use any oil and they turn out fine.

Is it bad that I always cook frozen veggies and even fresh veggies in a pan without oil? Is oil good for you?

And also, which would be better to put on top.. A little bit of lite soya sauce (32% sodium) or a little plum sauce (2% sodium) ?

I started a vegetarian diet about a month ago. On ash Wednesday . It started as just a Lent thing that I would not eat meat for from Ash Wed. to Easter. At first I didnt loose any weight. I fluctuated back and forth and I have actually been eating alot more than usual. This last week Ive been noticing that Ive lost five lbs and 2 inches off my stomach. Im not very active either. Could this be the Diet? Does anyone else who has been a vegetarian for awhile had this same reaction about a month after starting? And what can I expect?

I've always been picky with meat! Never ate red meat rarely ate chicken alot and stuff like ham but over time the thought of actually eating animal flesh really turned me off so around christmas time i decided to stop eating any type of meat at all!! But I'm just so ill all the time, worn out, tired, head aches, weakness, strange taste on my tongue e.t.c - Could this be anything to do with cutting out all meat? If so what can I do to stop this??

I'm trying to eat healthier, and I thought drinking soy milk instead of regular would be better because it doesn't contain hormones. Does it taste like cow's milk? Is it pricier? It comes fortified with calcium, doesn't it? Thanks!

I get recurrent kidney stones and the doc said to limit or end my milk intake. I LOVE milk and was interested in switching to soy, but all the soy containers say "calcium fortified." Are there any that have little or no calcium?
