I ask this because most of the household products we use everyday contain some degree of animal product, like Soap contains animal fat. Cotton uses a glycerin based enamel to become more stain resistant. Discuss.

The recent pet food recall has been linked to wheat gluten, which is one of the main ingredients in fake meats and seitan. I recommend avoiding it until more is known, about whether any of it ended up in the human food supply. Most animal food factories use the same ingredients as human food factories Not a question, but seamed worth passing on

I am currently a meat eater but wonder if I would be heathier being a vegetarian. I questioned myself about the meat eating ethic when we had Foot and Mouth in the UK a few years ago with tv reports showing hundreds of animals being destroyed, I seriously thought about giving up then.

I don't like many kinds of foods and I am a vegetarian but I want and need to eat better and I am working my way to vegan. I don't like any vegetables except corn, broccoli, potatoes, cold carrots, lettuce, celery, and kidney beans, all others make me gag! I only like broccoli with cheese on it. The other foods I like are, rice, cereal, cheese pizza, bean burritos, eggs, bread, peanut butter and jelly, noodles (sphegetti & fettachinni alfredo, mac n cheese, cheese, and snack foods (lil debs, ice cream, chips cookies ect...). Seriously, that is all I like. Should I be taking a certain type of vitamin? What are lentils and what to they taste like? I have tried every vegetable out there and I can't even force most of them down my throat, the ones I can it only lasts a couple of bites! Are these foods I eat enough? Please help me if you can, thank you.

I'd like to start adding blackstrap molasses to my food, just to get some extra iron. I'm a vegetarian (not vegan). I've never been anemic, but last time I was pregnant, my doctor put me on extra iron, just in case. I'm trying to get pregnant again and I want to make sure I'm eating right.
I've tried adding to oatmeal, but it's got a very strong taste, that I don't like. What else can I try?

I am a girl scout and have been since first grade, but recently I became a vegetarian.
I looked in the ingredients, and they say natural flavorings.
Natural Flavoring by defenition can have meat products in them.
And Yes, I realize that they have Dairy.
I looked all over the websites, and I couldn't find anything that said what the natural flavorings were.

I am eating some wonderful pesto-stuffed pasta and the lady who cooked it thinks it is horrible.(believe me, she is sincere) this is my first-ever question, I'm a virgin---treat me gently. Looking for a detailed, idiot-proof recipe for pesto-stuffed ravioli-style pasta. Thank you very much.

Serving: 1 slice of bread (45 g); calories 120 - calories from fat 15.

How do you calculate the following for this slice of bread? Because if it is what I think it is...that is alot of calories per slice!!
*Calories per gram: Fat 9 * carbs 4 * protein 4

If I were to return to my vgetarian ways, but do things right this time *okay, so i lived off french-fries. i was TWELVE for pete's sake* would it cost more or less or be equal to eating "regular" food? Would this mean that I'd need to learn how to cook really well?

I knew the word, but like many things, it was forgoten along with my pledge to never smoke pot.

I don't eat red meat. No cow, pig, rabbit, squirel, deer, elk... Get the picture? If it was a mammal *ie had FUR, like hair* I will not eat it. It's for the health issue *scapegoatwhen telling those with faint hearts* and because I veiw it as a strange form of cannibalism. Do what you will, but I have friends who can vouch for what happens if you go waving astrip of pulled pork in my face.

Anyways, what's the term?
