Why are people saying Vegetarians arent weak the don't eat meat meat provides protein protein provides muscle .

its not Stereotyping.

Geez... pretty soon they'll say assuming a black persons skin color is black, or brown is stereotyping. and thinking that Chinese people are from Chinese decent is stereotyping o.k. you what these count and are not stereotypes along with Vegetarians that isn't stereotyping either

When I am driving down the inner state, for example I94. I see those trucks filled with cows or pigs, I know where there are going, there are going to be slaughtered. I just want to know if any other person feels the same way I do, such as mortified because I know that it will be their last ride.

it seems like if your main goal is to just not eat meat it could do more harm than good. i have very limited knowledge. do you agree or not?

On asking a friend to come and eat sushi, (as there are vegetarian options too, and sushi is delicious), i discovered my friend does not eat Seaweed because of her sector in Hinduism.
Although I've searched on the net, I cant seem to find why this is.. other than seaweed not coming under the division of a plant (as i thought it was).
If anyone can let me know why it is prohibited, i would be most grateful! thanks

I don't, but I'm always surprised by how many people do! Lacto-ovo vegetarian here, just interested to see the breakdown of what people think.

It always confuses me when someone tells me they're vegetarian too, then I see them order a big plate of BBQ wings :)

Do they because of this die early? I mean like veggies do not give you what meat give you so maybe they often starve? I saw these monks at the hawker centre eating veggies and rice and just suddenly felt curious... :D

I'm talking about Temple Grandin. You can read the details here: http://www.peta.org/feat/proggy/2004/winners.html

I find it hard to believe that you can be for animal rights, but give awards to people who facilitate their slavery and death to improve the bottom line of factory farming corporations.

My husband and I are planning our vacation to Las Vegas this June. We are ovo-lacto vegetarians, and are looking for recommendations for places that will have something on the menu for us to eat (besides plain pasta or cheese pizza).

Any veggies been to Vegas and have any experiences to share?
