If you check out the tray liners at McDonalds (UK) on the back there's "Nutrition Breakdown" of food. In the drinks section, it states that Fanta Orange is not suitable for vegetarians....What could possibly be in an orange drink that makes this so.......?

It is because the food coloring in it is made from crushed cochlear beatles, which would be considered an animal source. Too gross whats in food colors!

Nothing its the fact that to drink McDonalds fanta you would have to be in the place that as the reputation of being the biggest consumer of beef in the world.

Its something about using fish substance...

It's probably Carmine, a reddish food coloring made from insects. It's very common in foods.

I suppose they have put gelatine or some form of animal fat into it. You would be suprised at the amount of things that are not vegatarian- liqourice allsorts, haribo, jelly babies, etc

Think they use isinglass (its made from fish bladders or something) It's used to clear cloudy liquids.
