I try to eat the Bare Naked/Baked kind, with all natural Hummus. But are these chips still just chips, and should be regarded as junk food?

Well if they are baked that is good but if they are white bread pitas as opposed to wheat then they are not as good for you. Get the whole wheat kind if you can.

No, pita chips are fine. They are usually baked or dehydrated, instead of fried, but you should read the label to be sure. I love hummus on raw veggies. Yum!

Well, they are much better than heavily processed chips, but like anything else, you should still eat them in moderation. If I recall correctly they are high in fat. (baked but I believe there is olive oil added??? check the label) Regardless, I wouldn't eat them with every meal, but don't be afraid to enjoy them once in a while.

(They sure are noisy to eat though, aren't they!?)

Yes, it's still junk food. Just slightly better junk food.

The more you process something the less nutrients your body is able to gain from it.

Whole wheat pita is divine. If you need it crunchy, then toast it. Stay away from over priced, over processed, so called "healthy" junk food.

Read your labels, no preservatives, no milk or byproducts or sugar. never seen it in stores. there is a company that make things like this and they will send it to you. I make my hummus, we can always use good receipts.Have a great day!!
