I'm a vegetarian, and I was wondering, what types of spices could I use to add more flavor to my veggies?

Something hot and spicy would be nice.

Any recommendations?

curry leaves, cumin seeds, basil, basley, lemongrass, ginger.

Ginger goes very well with most leafy veggie & broccoli. It is a "hot" food and can neutralise the cooling effect of leafy veggie. Thanks!

You can make a veggie teriyaki stir fry (check the Asian aisle of the local market, most of the seasonings and sauces are meat-free). Also, sweet chili sauce (which is actually rather spicy) or even grill/broil them in a BBQ sauce (just check the ingredients, some BBQ sauces have meat traces, others are totally meat-free and really yummy).

You can also get Hy's or Club House cajun spice. Awesome on rice and veggies!

For hot and spicy, try marinating your veggies in sliced jalapeno pepper, garlic, onion, olive oil, sea salt, and fresh ground pepper. I marinate for about an hour, then grill or roast. Rosemary (fresh) is wonderful too, especially when put in the cooking water for boiled new potatoes. I am eating cold rosemary potatoes right now-yummy. I find fresh herbs give the best flavor. I keep pots all around with various herbs growing-adds such nice, fresh flavor

It somewhat depends on the vegetable, and your personal taste. I like potatoes with rosemary, carrots with thyme, anything "tomatoey" with basil. Experiment, find the combos you like. Ginger and garlic together will add a "Chinese" flavor. Cumin also makes me think of Mexican food, even though it's used in many different cultures.
Hope some of this helps.
