Hey! I am a vegetarian and i am having some trouble getting all the protein i need in me. does anyone have some good recipies or foods that have high protein?

Hmmmm, honestly, it is almost impossible to not get enough protein unless you are living in famine conditions.

People generally need about 45 grams a day.
The average meat-eater gets 2-3 times as much which can lead to cancer, kidney disease, heart disease and obesity.

If you read the chart and still feel you are not getting enough, get yourself some beans (hummus is good), tofu, tvp and other things that have a ton.

Surprising sources and good amounts of protein in them. A serving of oatmeal (1/2 cup) has five grams. Beans have plenty of protein in them, as does veggie burgers. An average potato has about five grams. After doing a search for "vegetarian protein sources", I found this page:

Tofu is a good source of protein. It is an acquired taste. The trick with cooking with tofu is it takes on the flavors it is cooked with. So you want to cook it with flavorful ingredients. I am sure you can find some recipes on line.

Nuts are a good source of protein also peanut butter. Beans are a good source of protein as well.

There are also of good prepackaged vegetarian "meat" products you can buy at the grocery store. These will offer a good source of protein as well.

I use to not be VEGAN but then I woke up and now I am so ashamed at what I use to do, and it is disheartening that I am WRAPPED up in a world where many others still are "under brainwashes" of GROSS SORTS.

I usually eat BEANS, NUTS, and SEEDS
I guess somethings like peanuts they call LEGUMES. But I like GARBONZOs for making hummus or soups. I enjoy kidney beans in CHILE which I use "textured soy protein" in... and I mean there are som many other sources of PROTEIN.. I guess RICE and WHEAT and OATS have extents of "protein" as do other plants as well.... I am not a NUTRITIONIST or anything but I usually just say "beans nuts and seeds" ~ protein for you and me.

try going for traditional foods, like Indian Foods...many indians are vegetarian, so if you follow a typical Indian meal, you're bound to get complementary proteins in that food.

if you simply take an American diet (i'm assuming you're American), then it's not really designed from a vegetarian perspective...

remember, vegetarian foods (rice, wheat, etc.) has a lot of protein, just not COMPLETE protein (has all the amino acids, but missing one or two)

these plants have ALL the amino acids: spirulina, quinoa, soy, buckwheat, and amaranth.

Often, combining two (like rice or corn and beans) make a complete protein.

Some very easy sources are tofu, soymilk, beans, nuts, grains, broccoli and spinach.

There are lots of things that are full of protein. Beans are a great source. (chili, black bean soup, refried beans on tacos instead of beef.) If you are not a vegan, (a vegan eats no animal byproducts.) you can eat eggs. Also nuts have lots of protein, so have a peanut butter sandwich!

quinoa (pronounced keen wa) is a great source, as are beans, lentils, legumes, tofu (if you are not allergic to soy) eggs, milk, nut butters, (I make almond and cashew butter) and protein supplements

eat nuts and seeds such as
peanuts., sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnut, almond
they are all high protein
eat tofu and drink soy milk

well there are some vegatarians that do eat meat because they dont get enough protein maybe you should do that.
