Agreed! There's nothing dangerous or intoxicating about foie gras unless you count the cholesterol. It's a dangerous precedent that these PETA/ACLU anti-Americans are trying to impose their sense of "morality" upon the rest of us.

I agree! Foie gras is raised in inspected farms. This is a food substance that has a government seal of approval as safe for human consumption. Whether or not to serve foie gras should be a matter of choice. Wolfgang Puck and Charlie Trotter choose not to serve it. Some chefs choose not to serve any meat at all! That is their choice. They can run their businesses the way they want to. Just as we can choose whether or not to patronize these places. Prohibition proved that is futile to try and legislate matters of personal choice.

No, reform has to start somewhere. All of those ducks and geese are being fed 2 pounds of unnatural stuff 3 times a day by having a hose shoved down their throat, causing cuts and damage. Foie gras is nothing but diseased liver anyway-I cant think why someone would choose to eat it. I am glad to see someone taking a stand, as they should for more horribly treated animals. Why should something have to suffer so, just to satisfy human greed. Here is a video on the topic

I won't go as far as to say unconstitutional, but I don't agree with the ban. We should be able to eat any food that's bad for us, it's our own choice. Same with trans fats. Nobody worried about either of these issues 50 years ago. And now Wolfgang Puck has joined the foie gras ban because of cruelty. Did anyone 70 years ago care how the animals were treated? No. And neither do I. I know how they're treated, and as long as I can eat, well, I eat.

(My exception is endangered animals, like sharks, leatherneck turtles, or caviar from sturgeons.)

No,do you think it would be okay to eat dogs and cats?If they were treated the same it would be animal cruelty in all 50 sates. If someone wants foie gras that bad they should have to do it themselves.

Of course not. Cat & dog fur is also illegal - does that make it unconstitutional? Whales as food is also illegal - is that unconstitutional?
