It is normal to lose weight when becoming vegetarian, because the meat you used to eat was fattening. You probably have a high metabolism, just make sure you are getting enough:

whole grains
legumes
Potatoes

You'll be fine. 111 is still healthy for 5'1" tall. Tell your parents to not worry, you'll take care of yourself. THen DO. If you are really eating healthfully, then the weight loss will slow to a halt soon.

See a nutritionist (not one biased against vegetarianism) if you are uncertain about how much of what kinds of things you should be eating.

BTW.. a vegetarian CAN be just as overweight as any other person. I was vegetarian for years, but still crept up to 200, but I've lost 50 lbs (yay). It's hard though. Unlike you, MY metabolism SUCKS.

Well, if you were 121 lbs. at 5'1" tall, you had a few pounds to play with. That was not a rapid and unhealthy rate of weight loss either, so that's good. If you were to drop another 10 lbs. unintentionally, then I'd get worried.

Be sure you're taking a multivitamin/mineral supplement daily, ok?

It depends on your frame and body type. What might be a healthy weight to you might not be to some one else the same height as you. i'd say that your weight is fine, and it's good to eat healthy. The weight loss is probably just from eating well, and probably because you are changing as you grow older. You have a good wieght, and it's AWESOME that you're a vegetarian.

Your weight is perfect for your height now. What were you eating before that you cut out now? A reduction or elimination of not so lean meats will definitely cause weight loss.

It's most likely just the things you are eating. Are you eating mostly vegetables? Trying having more carbohydrates, like spaghetti or noodles with bread.
