I used to use Mccintosh, but they get a bit to soft, and I just used Granny Smith and they are ok, but a bit to firm and tart for me. I am looking for a medium tart, firm, sweet flesh apple that holds up well when baked. Also my pies are overly juicy, do I add more flour to the sugar mixture to make it thicker?

I decided to brine a turkey this year. Would I be able to put the turkey outside if I don't have a big cooler or fridge accessible? If so, what outside temp is ideal for the turkey?

You see , I want to cook southern meals because everyone is always saying how wonderfully delicious they are! I just don't know which recipes are actually southern food. I was thinking of moving down there, but I think that may be too drastic...

My daughter has a cooking lesson on Tuesday in school but instead of cooking the mince meat in school on the day she has been told that it has to be done the night before at home. Then take the cooked mince into school the following day to make samosa's, so the mince is going to be cooked again whilst they fry the finished samosa, then fetch it home to be reheated - surely you can't do this can you??????????

All I really have is ground beef and ground turkey. I can cook but not anything TOO complicated (im only 14).
I have some good sidedishes so dont worry about that.

ICK! It was good sourcream, not expired!! Supposed to be making this for a school meeting tomorrow so I had to 5x the recipe, but followed it to the tee. Cooking it up in a nesco, my kitchen stinks like 'sour'. Now what?? Can I salvage it? It's like 10 lbs of cooked hamburger! (Also included crm mush soup, water chestnuts, onion, celery, mushrooms). I added a little milk, that didn't help. Also added two more cans of soup thinking I could die down the taste, not working tho.

I baked an apple pie and I have extra filling (sliced apples coated in cinniman, ginger, ect.)
I also have bananas and walnuts and stuff, I have just about every ingredient you could possibly think of, but I don't know what to do with those apples! Can I store them? How?

I want to learn to cook, my parents say it is okay and 11 is a good age to start...But i need a recipie to make. Something that I could make quickly. (Under a 1 hour or so)Thanks!
