Will the pie crust burn? How do I do this?? Thank you!

If you cook the pie shell alone, it will be done quickly, but when you fill it, everything heats up slowly since there is more thermal mass. (More stuff that needs heating up).

So it all heats up and cooks roughly at the same time.

If the pie shell is baked alone it would take 11 minutes to brown. If you bake it with a filling, you would bake it for as long as your filling recipe says (40 min). It will not burn the crust

Im with the first two answers, but if the crust edges start to get to dark before the filling is done you can wrap the edges in foil till the filling is done so the crust won't burn
