Pork is the other white meat--but can still look slightly pink when done. 6-8 minutes should be sufficient unless they were chilled for awhile before cooking.

The most important thing is that their internal temperature reached 160 degrees. If you are cooking them in a deep fat fryer, that should do it for you. Wontons that are fresh should be deep fried--or immersed and then you can put them on a tray in the oven to keep warm while the rest are cooking.

If pork concerns you, you can substitute ground chicken. Don't over fill your skins, either.

If you flavored the pork/marinaded the pork with something salty, then you've essentially cured the pork... sort of like ham. That's the pink you're seeing, especially if you let the pork marinade over an hour.

If you've cooked these won tons for 30 minutes, they should be done... no matter what color.

If ginger is present, the pork will remain pink. But it IS cooked, and you can eat it.

Did you season the pork? After half an hour they are done. Go by texture, not color.

Are you using ground pork? Maybe you are stuffing them too full??? You can precook the pork a bit before.

You cook the meat first, otherwise the wrap will over cook before the filling does, as you are discovering.
