We all have to bring something. I want it to be something good but easy to make without alot of ingrediants. It will be for about 40 people but doesnt have to feed them all. We are having Tri-tip, sausages, and oysters as the meat. Thanks.

I'm looking into finally buying a good stand mixer. I know Kitchenaid is great, but has anyone also used the new Cuisinart? Does anyone have good comparisons to make between the two? If I'm going to plunk down my change I'd love to get the best one possible. Thanks alot!

I'm making up a meal list for this week, and one of the recipes I'm making calls for fresh parsley and oregano. Any other recipes that people can think of where I can use the leftover herbs?

I hate having to buy the bunches of fresh herbs then having to throw a lot out because I don't use it all.

Thanks!

We haven't done grocery shopping and that's all I have right now and I'm starving. I'm tired of mixing it with an egg and the original way to prepare it. Anyone have any ideas?

Here is the deal. Cake Central's search function has been busted for too long for their galleria. (you search and want to see the results and it goes back to the main categories)
I need a site like cake central exactly so not just wilton.com or cakefairy.com that make cakes themselves I am looking for a forum site where people contribute. Has anyone had any luck finding one?

I like her (have met her), like her recipes etc but I am not convinced that what she is doing on TV at the moment are 'fast foods'. She says 10 minutes, and I think, 30 minutes. Am I just inept at cooking fast food Nigella style, or does anyone agree with me?

Can anyone let me have the recipe for Mark Hix's dish that got him into this book? It's rabbit and something. I've ordered his book on British Food but don't think that this particular recipe is in it. He seems such a simple, laid back chef and maybe because autumn and winter are coming I'm looking for books of comfort food.

I host a card game every two weeks and I always prepare some sort of snack. The game has been going for about 1.5 years and I have repeated recipes only a couple of times. Now, I am running out of ideas. Here are a few restrictions for the suggestions:

- No curry. It makes one of the regular players sick

- I usually include some sort of meat and vegetable in the snack although this restriction is negotiable if you have a really good suggestion.

- The snack needs to be consumable without utensils and shouldn't get the players' hands messy (it's a card game!)

- The preparation of the snack must involve applying heat to food (i.e., genuine cooking).

- The cost must be modest. I defray some but not all of the costs of these snacks.

As I indicated earlier, I will prepare the winning snack for my card game for real and report on how it went.

Good luck and may the best snack win.

I just cooked ribs. It's my habbit to slow cook them in the overn and then finsh them with a bbq sauce mixed with beer and brown sugar. My mistake was in thinking I had bbq sauce in the pantry. Anyone know a simple sauce I can put together. I have most things that would go into. I would rather have a tried and true though than one I just think up on the spur of the moment.

Thanks
