I asked my husband to buy some shrimp for dinner tonight, but the recipe that I was making calls for marinating and grilling. He bought shrimp that was already cooked. Does anyone have any recipes that are good that I can use this shrimp for? Also, I checked and it said just let the shrimp defrost in the fridge for 8 hours, I only have about 5. Is there a way to expedite this without comprimising the integrity of the shrimp?

I know its due to the high temperature, but why cant we just heat up a fry pan for a while, and sear the steaks in there? Does it not get as hot? It doesnt make sense that it wouldnt considering the heat is directly underneath.

Ive tried looking at Target, Wal-Mart, and Bed Bath and Beyond, and they all have some cheap little models. Where can I get some good ones that DON'T cost $30 or less?

I make pancakes with this buckwheat mix I have, it's really healthy for you...anyway, they taste pretty damn good, but they come out flat. I like my pancakes fluffier, like bisquick. Is there something I can add, like baking soda or baking powder, to make them fluff up? I've tried adding more of the mix to make them thicker, but they still flatten out too much. I'd like them fluffy.

I like to cook, esp outside on the grill & I like to try my stuff out on other people. We're famous for our outdoor BBQs here in the south. I don't like eating fast food, do you?
