I'm a pretty fair cook. I love baking and candy making. I am retired now and single so I don't make to many big meals anymore. I used to grill out a lot when my children were young. Now I don't even own an outdoor grill. I bought a cast iron grill for the stove top and it works great. I grill a lot on that. I don't care for fast food either, but I will get a Subway sandwich or a burger at Carl's JR. now and then.

South Mississippi right here!!! Lol, I like to consider myself a pretty good cook, even though I'm not even in my 20's yet. And like Mawmaw, I can cook just about all of it...I learned by watching my Momma and my own Mawmaw in the kitchen from the time I was able to get up on a kitchen stool and "cook with Momma". Have a lot of great memories from those days, and a lot of great recipes!

I'm a Navy wife, and therefore have any number of sailors and their wives/girlfriends coming over for dinner on any given night. I usually make everything from scratch, which is a rarity in my age bracket, but I do love it. And, maybe they're just being nice, I don't know, but I haven't had one complaint yet, I usually get rave reviews, and they keep coming back, so I believe that I'm a fairly good cook. But I think you have to really love cooking to be really good at it. If you're heart's not in it, then it throws something off...and I'd much rather mess up the entire kitchen and cook rather than go to McD's, but sometimes you just don't have the time...And there's nothing better than good Memphis-style BBQ

I love to cook. I'm in Texas so I know what you are talking about. Hate fast food unless I really need to eat then and now. My fiance just bought me a sweet Smoker/BBQ for my birthday in June. I have already used it at least 50 times. I am a great cook. Worked in restaurants for 16 years so I picked up tons of recipes. I usually end up being the one who BBQ's for everyones parties. Just something about cooking outside over a wood or charcoal fire.

I'd rather cook then buy food out. Only because I found that it's cheaper and I can always have what I want the way I want it.....and most my friends would buy ingredients and bring them to my house like I'm a chef or something LOL ( I don't mind really and I am proud that they do that) People do request I make a certain things for them, and I have bought things to work (that I made, but I cook for a family but I live by myself so I don't want to waste it) and they ask for it again. Even the boss's boss asks for things LOL.....and I'm a guy so, I guess i can really cook well.

I love to cook, I've been doing it since I was 7. I cooked in many restaurants for 15 years and now have children of my own who are learning to cook. We watch a lot of Food Network and all 3 of my boys take turns cooking during the month - they are 8,7 & 5. We don't eat out much because we enjoy creating new menus and it's too expensive and unhealthy.

Yesssssss I love to cook.....and am a very good cook....so i hear.
I love BBQ and hate fast foods!!! I would rather make my own hamburgers and taco's...... My buttermilk fried chicken is soooo much better than fast food chicken.
Homemade is always better.
Getting together with friends and having a BBQ is so much fun.
Good food....good friends....what could be better???

Contrary to public opinion I dislike fast food too. I'd eat it if I was starving though.

I love to cook. I've been married for almost 25 years, and been cooking longer than that. My mom taught me how to cook everything from cakes and cookies to meatloaves to homeamade bread. I cook every day for my husband. I love to show off my culinary ability. During the holidays, I'm always making something and sending it to work with him. Sometimes they have luncheons and I'll make something just to show off. So, yes, I like to cook. No, I'm not a big fan of fast food. When I have my granddaughters with me, if the older one asks for a hamburger I'd rather make it than buy it. But sometimes, being a kid, she wants "McDonalds", so I'll buy her something, and eat at home.
