One pkg. of dry yeast equal 2 1/4 teaspoon which is usually stated on the package. I use mostly bulk packages of yeast which is much cheaper and when the recipe calls for 2 packs, I use 4 1/2 teaspoons. If the recipe calls for 1 pack, I use two slightly rounded teaspoons. A quarter teaspoon more or less will not affect your results if you use good fresh yeast.

According to Epicurious (brought to us by Bon Appetite and Gourmet magazines) one package of dry yeast is equal to 1 scant tablespoon dry yeast or 1 cake of compressed fresh yeast:
