I make it all the time, my children and grandchildren love it. Never had it with an egg on top. ... must try that next time.

Love corned beef hash with peas and gravy.
Also toad in the hole, liver, mash and onion gravy, chicken casserole and good old simple egg n chips..

I know....I do forget about it, but it makes an excellent breakfast, lunch or supper...I always add a little onion to it, peps up the canned version....It also makes a nice sandwich with a little lettuce and tomato....need sturdy bread though.
Isn't it funny how we forget the simple foods...Mama used to give us milk and cornbread for supper,,,or just plain fried potatoes and onions, sliced tomatoes, and maybe a deviled egg....nice simple supper....

I like corn beef hash. We eat it all the time for supper. I have never eaten it for breakfast though. I will have to sometime.

omg, my friend and i were just watching hells kitchen and they had mashed potato with poached egg and i said its delicious. my friend said have you ever tried corned beef hash with a fried egg on top. i have not tried it but can imagine it would be tasty so later this week i will be having it!! p.s have you ever tried beans on toast with a fried egg on top? this is also delicious.

OMG..... this takes me back.... it's a lovely comforting food to me, but only in the fact I used to have that as a child......but now I'm not so sure it's benefical to anyone seeing that corned beef contains so much bad things for you...I certainly wouldn't eat it again

We love it! We make corned beef brisket in the crockpot one day, and bake a few extra potatoes. The next day we fry it all up with onion, garlic, and green bell pepper. I like mine with melted cheese on top.

yes a verry nice dish. also its close brother the home made cornbeef pie.nice hot or cold with some brown fruity sauce........IM STARVING lol.
