Some people just have that inherent skill, but I want to learn it. I wish I could just go up to a stove, get random ingredients that I KNOW will taste good together, and make up something out of the blue.

here is a recipe that calls for sour cream

APPLE PANCAKES
3 single eggs, separated
3 tablespoon sour cream
1 peeled apple, finely chopped
3 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Separate eggs and add sour cream, apple, flour, baking powder and cinnamon to the yolks, stirring well. Beat egg whites until peaks form, and fold into yolk mixture. Cook on hot, lightly greased griddle until golden brown. Delicious served with a dollop of sour cream and maple syrup. Makes about 12.

OK this may be a really stupid question but I dont know how to cook at all. I want to make a salad with grilled chicken strips in it. I have two raw chicken breasts. So... how do I do it? Do I cut the breasts into strips while the chicken is raw or do I cook it first and then cut into strips? Thanks for any help.

I made this stupid recipe ^, and it better come out good or else I'm going to be very, very angry. In any case, I would like for them to be done in exactly 1.5 hours. I already made the dough, rolled it into a ball, and have it wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator. Since I like them very soft, they'll only have to cook for like 6-8 minutes, therefore much of that 1.5 hours can be refrigerator time. Anyway, the recipe says to keep it refrigerated for 2-3 hours. Will it really make a difference if I cook it a half hour sooner? If so, what will happen? Thanks!
