Use chicken broth or stock instead. Canned beef broth has an odd flavor and most chefs recommend using chicken stock instead even if the recipe calls for beef. Even for beef stew and pot roasts I use only chicken broth and they turn out great. You will have to reduce other liquids called for in the recipe by an equal amount of the stock you are using. Broth is actually better than bouillon cubes anyway because the cubes contain a massive amount of salt.

Hi,
I go through this almost every night when Im cooking dinner. There's alway's somthing Im missing. Anyway,To replace cube's,and depending on what your makeing, I've used broth from a can.If you can't use liquid, then I've used one of those little pouches thet come inside the rice-a-roni (rice mix) box. Look and see if you might have anything else thet come's with a flaver pouch. If all else fails, ask a neighbor or run to the store. Hope you find what you need ! ( what time's Dinner )

if you have a bunch of vegetables (carrots, celery, onions, garlic or anything else) and/or some meat throw it in a pot covered with water with some salt, pepper, bay leaf, any other odd spices you have and simmer it for an hour....then strain it and use that for broth....it always makes any recipe better to have homemade broth and it's too easy......either that or if in a big hurry just use water spiked with mostly salt but also pepper and other dry spices from the cupboard.....it'll pretty much work.....finally, don't forget there are broth packets in those stale ramen noodle packs!!

Chicken broth or stock would be best. But usually I don't have this hanging around.
So I usually boil a small pan of water with 1/2 stick of butter.
It really depends on the recipe, but this usually works. :)

If you have broth, you would just have to cut back on the liquid elsewhere in the recipe. I usually skip buillion cubes, they add a salty taste that I don't care for.

You can use chicken noodle soup without the noodles, but remember to cut back on any salt if the recipe calls for it.

Stock or broth work, or soup base from a jar. If you don't have any, you can use water, but make sure you season it!
